When we start beating him and the Colts, then we can say he's overrated. But, not until then.

Wrong....I can damn sure say it now with all of the hype he gets for horrible stats vs good teams. Dude gets 6 easy ones a year in a crap division and throws 12 picks in the post season with a 55% completion percentage........

Peyton had critics just like you, saying the same kind of things. He now has 2 SB rings, scores of NFL records, and is a future first ballot HOF'er. His critics...well they got their couch and 50" flat screen to yell at. :)

The main difference being...Peyton has beat good competition...and Peyton isn't as irresponsible with the ball....Until he shows me otherwise, I don't get the hype. I would put many QB's ahead of him personally. Is he bad? Not at all. That said, Flashy doesn't make me put him in the 'GREAT" category. Give me 3 reasons I should...i'll wait.

People get to say it now. Look at his passer ratings vs our sorry ass team..

    89.5
    50.6
    82.2
    59.4
    123.3
    135.4
    82.6

Other than the 2 games from 2014 Andrew Luck has never lived up to his hype vs us.. He's been on the wining end often but not because of what he did.. We make a lot of mistakes to give the Colts life.. He's been smart enough to seize the opportunities..

Exactly...Dude is garbagio in my opinion considering his hype. I want to see him beat solid competition. Everything is swinging on him for what?!....I just don't get it.

Maybe you didn't notice, but the teams you claim he can't beat....neither did Russell Wilson, or anyone else, in the playoffs, last year. The team that beat them won the SuperBowl. Hello? It's also been no secret that the OL in Indy is bad. What QB isn't going to look bad behind a bad OL?

All I know is the guy, much like Peyton Manning did, was able time after time to lead big comebacks...especially against us. "Yeah, Andrew...you've beaten us down twice a year since you've been in the league...but you're still a bust!"

    Com'On, Man!

So if we aren't going to even TRY to outbid anyone, you're suggesting we can only sign players NO ONE ELSE wants? That's a bit silly. No matter how much I say it, you just seem to not believe it and seem to think winning teams get all the best free agents. Which is funny considering we have had historic or near historic contracts signed fairly frequently....NOT by those top winning teams!!!

So your argument is, we won't try to outbid anyone, we can't get any player someone else wants, and every team in the league wants to over pay people in free agency. NONE of your argument is accurate. We WILL try and succeed in outbidding ppl....that's how you land free agents most of the time. We may not get an Eric Berry or Josh Norman as it doesn't sound like Robinson wants to go after those types of free agents. But I'd guess we'll get a 2nd tier player or more. Not sure how much he wants to add free agents to push this team up as much as possible or if he wants to mostly build via the draft.

As for a free agent like Cordy Glenn being offered a choice between getting paid $72mil over 6 years with the titans or $36mil over 6 years with the Panthers...you tell me if a shot at a SB is worth $36mil???

So the ONLY way we can prefer someone OVER Tunsil is if Tunsil is NOT a good prospect? That doesn't make any sense. Every player we'd consider...Tunsil, Stanley, Bosa, Buckner, Jack, Ramsey, etc....NONE of them are bad prospects. But in deciding between which prospect to take, you have an argument of Floor and Ceiling for each guy. Then you have positional importance for each. Then you consider need and the players expected impact now and the future as well as intangibles...on and off the field heart, passion, intelligence, etc.

The fact is, we have a top 1st round pick playing LT. You don't spend the #1 overall pick in the draft on a RT! IF Lewan was willing to move to RT or IF Lewan can not cut it at LT for us, then tunsil is an option. If not, there are other ways to fill the position in free agency. We have a hell of a lot of cap space and getting a good RT is not a bad idea. Additionally, does Bosa fit our scheme? He doesn't look like a natural 3-4 OLB and looks too light to play DE. Can he be the next JJWatt? We'll have a better idea after the combine.

So, the argument against Tunsil has nothing to do with whether Tunsil is a good prospect or not, but whether he fits our team and whether taking him to play LT causes more problems than it fixes. If we were to play him at RT, it really lowers his 'value' positionally. This is really the only argument about not taking Ramsey. Should a CB or FS go at #1 overall? I'd take a CB who looks like Richard Sherman before I take a RT.

But another large part of the evaluation is what grade do they give each player? Another large part is what do they get done in FA? Get a RT in free agency and Tunsil is no longer an option.

I also find it amusing you think we can't sign the best LG, OC, and RT. I don't even know which LG you're referring to as 'the best.' Only Alec Mack, if he makes himself available, would be a frequent Pro Bowl player who will be at or near the top of the salary for his position. Mitchell Schwartz is not gonna get $12-13mil/yr, so suggesting we get a good player is doable. Signing a solid LG to compete with Poutasi is certainly doable. Mack would be more of a challenge, but if he were our only BIG free agent signing, certainly doable as he's making about $8mil/year and signed a contract with the Jags so he's will to go where the money is. Or more likely, sign Wisniewski to compete and provide quality support. My problem is, you suggest drafting another OC to compete with Schwenke. Didn't we do that last year?

But let's suppose we go with your plan. Do you think Lewan will just move to RT and then sign here long term in a few years to play RT when he can go somewhere else and play LT and make more money? It would not surprise me (and we've seen this exact situation play out on other teams) if Lewan demanded a trade...and we gave it to him for say....a 2nd round pick. So we'd again not have our OL set AND lose the value from Lewan (a top 15 pick) to a 2nd round pick. In Madden it works fine. IRL, not as well...
