The window 4k LG TV up at Best Buy is the single best damn TV screen I've ever seen. Higher rez than real life!

I'm using FCPX, but most recent video, photo, and effects programs have supported 4K for a few years.

I'll get a 4K tv in a couple years, when something new comes out.

I haven't fudged with import settings in a while having only needed to work with popular HD rez. Sounds like the obvious next choice though..

Just bought one for my dad for his birthday a few days ago. Hes wanted one to use one our yearly skiing trip. Should work pretty nice I hope. Hope skiing won't be too fast for it.

Not really sure where else he'll use it however haha.

I'm considering going with the Panasonic G7. It takes pretty amazing video (4k capable) and I'd have a great camera for stills as well. I haven't looked into cameras in awhile so I was unaware of how good even some of the point and shoot cameras can do these days. Part of me wants to just go with something like the Panasonic GM1. It has a lot more limitations than the G7 but the smaller size would be nice. I could just throw it in my laptop bag I carry daily and not need an entirely separate camera bag.
