People need to take this pipe dream of Mack leaving Cleveland and signing here and just let it go. Mack put the opt out in his deal with Jacksonville because he didnt want to be caught on a loser. He is exercising it in Cleveland because he doesnt want to keep losing. Why would he want to sign with a worse team the might have the most disfunctional FO in sports? Its nonsensical and inconsistent with the narrative of Mack hitting FA.

Wisniewski and Jones would be upgrades that we can actually bring in.

We have to try. Mack most likely will not be in Cleveland next year. We should at least have his ear, a plan, and a truck full of cash at the least.

Well for one we'd be able to give Mariota a pocket to climb for a change, but yea that's not important, you're right

He might be cheaper than Martin in FA. I know he's up in age, but I think he still has a year or two left. He's decent in the pass game coming from the back field.

If we can get Mack then we need to pursue this... Draft Tunsil, move Lewan to RT. We have to protect our franchise QB! He took way too many hits last year!

Im sure the Titans will try and they should but thats different then is acting lije this is a legitimate thing that might happen. 0% chance he comes here.

Personally I think the money would be better spent on Schwartz who is both younger and plays a more impactful spot on the OL then signing Ben Jones from Houston.

LeWan-Poutasi-Jones-Warmack-Schwartz is a solid OL and all of the players on it would be under 27.

Really we dont need to get Mack, he's the best there is but you dont need the best there is, just need someone who doesn't get blown off the ball over and over like Schwenke does..

I wonder if we could pull a brother signing in Mitchell & Geoff Schwartz. Mitchell would be the prize, 26 year old RT (6'5 320), 17th best FA per PFF (2nd best OT). Mitchell since being drafted has started 3 years consecutively without missing a single snap. Geoff is a 29 year old guard (can play right or left), was rated the #1 FA guard by PFF in 2014, signed a 4y/$16.8m with the Giants, in '14 he broke his toe and missed 11 wks. Returned, broke his ankle, missed the season. Last year played 12 games and then broke his leg, went to the IR, and was cut a couple weeks ago. Prior to his injury last year, he was playing some great ball, rated 5th best OG free agent this year by PFF.

Mitchell is going to get PAID and I'd be happy to be the team who pays him. He's in his prime and is one of the better RTs in the league. Geoff, although banged up recently, should be healthy by years start and would be a massive upgrade at LG. Call their agents day 1, offer them decent $, and sell them on the deal of getting to play together.

    Lewan - G. Schwartz - ??? - Warmack - M. Schwartz

Pickup a center in day 2 or 3, have the complete w/ Schwenke for the starting job.
