See how rumors get twisted. He is actually running for president of the New Confederacy.

Didn't he used to date DW? Does that count as a tie to the State?

Yes. The owners are terrible. And chit rolls downhill.

The president search and HC search were a complete sham because AAS et al are too Fing lazy to dive in themselves and do it right. And anybody who owns a business understands that it is a requisite. They have a contact/history with Underwood, who btw has always underperformed, and they dumped the responsibility on to him. They never wanted him to find a replacement- that would mean they'd be saddled with developing a new relationship and overseeing the new president during the initial period of "relationship building". And the HC search was also a result of them being lazy and simply promising Mularkey the job if he took over last year for Whiz. The real truth is that AAS fired Whiz because she ordered him to protect Mariota and he refused to change his offense. She never should have fired Whiz mid-season if she wasn't committed to replacing him with SOMEBODY BETTER. She just wanted somebody she could control. Same ole chit.

If Peyton Manning showed ANY interest in joining this organization, the FANS would benefit tremendously. He's not going to put his name to crap. He'd definitely influence the organization in a positive way that our current owners and their management structure are not capable of doing. He has vast NFL experience that would be utilized. And his legendary status here would immediately infuse optimism. We'd all be lucky to have him as part of the organization. But he's turned this organization down before and I doubt he'd be willing to sign on here in any role. If he did, I'd re-consider dumping my PSLs. And I've never liked Manning in the past. I simply see it as a significant development that would dramatically change the course of this pathetic franchise.

Im not a believer in Kaep, but if Kelly knows enough not to bombard Kaep with crazy concepts he doesnt understand then it could work. We've seen it work a couple of times with Kaep and Harbaugh

Ok... Except Underwood went on the Midday 180 and said the hire was made by AAS.

You left out one major detail. John freaking Elway was the one pulling Peyton away from Bud Adams, John Elway.... Thats like the God of football for most people, when he wants you you go to him..

Look at who all he acquired in his short career as GM.... I want some of that and unless the Colts or Broncos are offering a GM or President position Id be very interested by the Titans if Im Manning and looking to start a new journey..

Elway being there didn't hurt but I doubt that was the major reason he chose Denver. More like their O-line was better, they had DT, got Welker, had Von Miller and OK D- just faster track for a Lombardi. They went twice during his short tenure there and won one. It was a clear and good choice for him as opposed to the steaming dung pile this organization has been during the same tenure.

Would he come here? It would be a slam dunk shot in the arm both from fan excitement and quality control. I'd stay on board with my money if he did come in some capacity, especially if he was involved with player personnel and/or coaching. I just don't think the timing is right for him and I predict if does indicate his interest in staying on the coaching/administrative side, we are a bottom tier choice for him.

I wholeheartedly disagree, Manning paired with Elway was a match made in heaven and Manning knew it.. John Elway is the best there is, he could recruit Mariota if we're not careful..

Just what do you think that Elway did that drew Manning? Coached him? I guarantee you it was more where the Broncos were in regards to personnel. And that would be about the only significant draw that could be attributed to Elway directly.

PM didn't go there just to be a QB on a team that Elway was GM.
