Griffin out!

I just handed out a sh*t ton of High Fives!

 

No disagreement there, we should easily be able to upgrade that position, for less money ...maybe.

I just don't hate him like others do and appreciate his contributions to the team.

 

Michael Griffin was the embodiment of everything that was wrong with this team; overpaid, underperformed, unwilling to take responsibility, and as soft as they come.

Today was a step in the right direction.

 

We are not getting Ramsey. The FO main concern is protecting their most valuable asset MM8. We will do one of two things with that first pick. We either get Tunsil or we trade the pick for a bunch of picks and get the guy from ND, Staley I think his name is.

 

What did he do for the team exactly?

Make plays? Absolutely not. If he made plays, he'd still be on the team.

Mentor younger players? Nope

I've seen it several times that "he didn't get into trouble off the field", so we are now at a point where not getting arrested makes you a valuable member of the franchise?

I understand not wanting to lambaste the guy, I get it, but just because the guy was on the team for 9 seasons in no way makes him any more meaningful than a guy that spent 3 years on the team.

Griffin has done nothing for this team but be a cancer. His play was uninspired, and he should have never gotten the contract he got, he benefited from an inept front office.

Anyone who claims his on field play was anything but horrid the last several years is kidding themselves.

Mark Barron was a 1st Rd pick, out of Bama, a handful of years ago, and is slated to hit FA. I'd got that route if Robinson can swing it. If not, Brian Randolph was a super solid S for the Vols all 4 seasons. He's a thumper with a nasty disposition, too. Would be a steal at the top of the 5th Rd (effectively a late 4th Rd pick for us)

 

I think that we should put McCourty at FS, sign Trumaine Johnson at CB, then draft Ramsey or Hargreaves in the first. Secondary fixed.

 

Nothing wrong with a good secondary in my opinion. We just improved it today!
