He wanted Mularkey back when Munch was promoted. Too much coincidence there.

The problem here is I don't believe Amy has someone smarter than her in the organization that is help instructing her and guiding her in some of these decisions. I don't believe Steve Underwood is football smart and could help guide her into making a good sound football decision. The organization desperately needs a football guy in Steve's position. He's not doing her any favors. He migh know business. Doesn't make him right as President of your football team.

Yep, they should have rehired Jeff Diamond, former NFL Executive of the year and we had our best years with him. Fud bucked up when he fired Diamond.

you know, one thing that is overlooked with AAS, is that 2 years ago she voted to let Tommy Smith be the "face of ownership", now, how many of us were asking "wtf is this guys deal" the moment we saw him. He immediately hired Whisenhunt, announced a man crush on Ruston Webster, and proceeded to out goofy himself every time he was on camera.

Once it was determined you dont put handicapped people on camera, AAS became the face of the ownership group. Now decisions are being questioned, but the reality is, I think we all gave her too much credit for getting rid of whisenhunt and webster, as they weren't hard decisions, the hard decisions that have needed to be made by her have all been failures (tommy smith, Mularky, etc)

I think its clear, the "ownership group" wants the money and "ownership status" the team offers, have no REAL idea how to "win in football", and really just want the team to "not be a problem".

I think wanting Superbowls was Buds thing, These new owners just want things quiet. If Mularky can live at 8-8, with an occasional playoff game, he will be Jeff fisher 2.0. Only thing that us fans can hope for is Robinson puts together a team that will win despite coaching, and as crazy as it sounds is possible when you have a franchise QB. I think it happens often in the NFL, so, thats really where we are at.

Glad to see we added Keith Willis as DL assistant as he meets our main criteria - out of the NFL for several years. Go us!

For those interested in this, it appears not having a true majority owner is the issue:

Roger Goodell, John Mara address Tennessee Titans' ownership issues - Tennessee Titans Blog- ESPN

Somehow, they want Strunk (or someone) to be majority owner. I have no idea how sis or one of the grandkids can sell 1%. If the team is worth $2 billion. 1% is still $20 million.

Strunk may not be able to pay $20 million right now. And, more important, there would be capital gains on the difference between the original cost of 1% of the team when Bud started it to now. So, to liquidate 1% might mean a ton of taxes that the seller might be able to afford which would then be added to the price of that 1% being sold to AAS making it more than $20 million.

A majority would be 50.1%, so AAS, who owns 33.3% of the team, would need to buy another 16.8% to give her a majority. Buying another 1% would give AAS a plurality of the shares but not a majority.

I may be using the wrong term but, I think, they just want someone holding more than the others.
