    Back to Williamson... haha

Do you guys think he is a legit 'captain of the defense' middle linebacker that every great D needs/ has. Personally I am not as high on him as others are. I think he is an average athlete and in today's NFL you need very athletic LBs.

    Seahawks - Wagner
Panthers - Kuechley (My favorite player in the league btw - beside Mariota)
    Ravens had Lewis
    Bears had Urlacher
    Steelers had multiple guys
    49ers Bowman and had Willis

So far he's been average, slightly good on a crappy team. (And I have an AW jersey). There are better available but our other needs are greater. He'll do until we have the luxury to draft a flier.

There are a lot of great LB's that aren't as athletic as the guys you mentioned. I think he can fill one of those roles.

Also Bowman is my favorite player in the league and he lost a LOT of speed and quickness after his injury.

With all that said, of course I want the other ILB spot to be filled by someone who can fly around and make plays everywhere.

I think we should ditch Avery and replace him with Scooby Wright
