I want to be positive, but it's hard when neither Mularkey nor most of his staff have had sustained success coaching in the NFL. There have been moments sure, but there have been more failures than successes and that is simply hard to take when there were other paths to take. The best thing for the team is that we are all dead wrong and THIS time around the mash-up works. To have to start over again in a year or two with a promising young QB being wasted in the background would be unforgivable. So let's hope it does work out, my calluses just don't want to let the sunshine in yet without some proof.

    Pure comedy.

If I didn't know we were ruining our potential franchise QB, this would be the funniest thing in my life.

Grown adults running this team. LOL. Then lying to our faces. LOL!

Amy, your positivity is appreciated. But past performance is the strongest indicator of future performance. Yes Mularkey may have learned some things but he has a .320 W-L at 3 different HC stops. He's assembled a rag tag collection of cast-off staff. The negatativity is simply a reflection of a rational analysis of a VERY poor choice by ownership to advance him without fully exploring other HC options.

The only thing giving me some faith, is that Mularkey hasn't had a QB of Mariota's caliber before, and that he got some raw deals everywhere else he has been.

Yea, he had X amount of games to do something last year, but he did go from a TE coach to head coach in a week. No way you can prepare for that.

As far as realism goes, I'd be surprised if he ever hits 8-8 as a head coach. Despite all the negative things being said, mostly deserved, I think there is a small glimmer of hope.

I agree in regards to poor rosters both in the past and currently. Let's hope that with strong talent acquisition we can move up to the next level. To be honest, I have less concerns about Mularkey than Robiskie. That hire troubles me the most. When ever he is interviewed, my feelings just sink lower and lower. I hope he is better than his previous record and his first impression, but I feel like the old adage that the competition is playing chess and we are playing checkers may apply.
