Ive never once seen Schweneke make a play, he should be cut, not talented enough to fight for a job

Under new coaching next season, maybe these guys improve as a unit, that's my hope. But if we can add 1 or 2 proven vets to get better than I'm all for overpaying. I'd rather overpay for a solid O lineman than a RB or WR.

Last year we should have just had Mariotta stand behind sandbags. At least the defense would had to run around those.

Who am I missing? A lot of work to do on the oline...

I've said it 100 times... Bring in every Olinemen possible and hope to find a decent combo.

Better than Bell - maybe. Better than a DP or a different FA is a different question. He was good for a year or so in Cincy but recently he's been the worst thing on that line. They are cheering for him to leave.

The Grimm will return him to glory. :notworthy:

It's a tough situation. Premium RTs just don't hit the market often and I don't see anyone available with the pedigree of Smith.

I never understood when you get guys from the draft and they do well in a position then you change them and they suck ...well put them in there spot .Lewan is a left tackle ...leave him there ...Warmack was drafted as left guard put him back in the position he did well ..get a vet center who can make the line calls make it easier on MM8. get right gaurd and a vet RT.....thats how you start .stop projecting guys in different spots .draft depth ..and pick a oline play ..our we zone, power or something else pick one and get guys that fit .there was a article how we had different guys on this O line with different qualities thats why its not meshing .we have some good pass blockers ,some road graders ,but no one the same then throw in wizzes system bam ...notice how mularky did try to put guys back where they belong but inj forced guys in spots not ready ..so it was a little better hopefully they seen there errors .thats how you fix this mess....stop trying to put square pegs in round holes ..

We obviously need a RT and if we can get one we can move Bell to left guard and that improves 2 positions. A later rd center can give us some competition there.

Let me remind people that the line in 2009 that CJ had over 2000 yards behind was not much better.

Eugene Amano was the starting left guard, sucked.

Jake Scott was the starting RG, sucked and we had a 35 year old center. Those 3 interior guys would be on the street a couple of years later.

Out tackles were good, Roos and Stewart but Roos was never a great run blocker.

So CJ had one of the best seasons a RB ever had behind what was basically an average run blocking line.

In case you are not getting the drift we need a dynamic RB. The main problem with our running game is that we are using backup caliber bum backs.

"Make a play"? He's a center not a defensive tackle.

It is frustrating because a list of the 10 best players at each of the o-line positions(LT-C-G-RT) would include quite a few mid and late rd draft picks as well as some guys who were not drafted at all.

Why can't we get lucky once or twice on a late pick? Stewart was a 4th rd pick. Again that's on Webster.

Still wondering how Oher could not cut it at Rt with us but he can start at LT for the panthers without any problem. Why is that? We had him here we could have kept him around.
