So what is wrong with this team?

I'm not sure it's worth spending any time looking at micro-level problems (need a RT, CB, etc.) when the macro problem of terrible ownership and management poisons everything under it.

 

GM was my number 1 but that got changed.
Worst roster in the NFL cant blame everything on the coaching like some of you think is the problem, since we got a new gm we will see if it was the coaching or just bad FA/Draft picks by Webster every year.

1. RT - Duh, but dunno about getting Tunsil and moving Lewan to RT just to be in the same shat jam we are in, might actually work out for the best with lewan being as athletic as he is but not sure on this one.
2. RG - Warmack has been under performing for a while now and bell did an ok job at LG.
3. RB - Might do alright by fixing the o-line but wouldn't count on it. Henry would be a great 2nd round pick if available.
4. CB - We have no good CB other than Mccourty and Cox but both got injured and are above avg at best, get Vernon Hargreaves III in the draft.
5. Safety - Griffin needs to GTFO - Get Ramsey or Cash in the draft.
6. WR - We need to put wright back in the slot and get a true #1 wr.
7. KR/PR - Or we could stick Mccluster out there to keep doing a spin cycle for 1 - 5 yards a return or Sankey to fumble 5 times a game.


(I know we wont get all these guys in the draft, just mentioning some prospects that would be great fits.)

 

He's been playing ss, but i guess your right, he could play fs.

 

he played both spots in Buffalo, and he's way more of a FS IMO than SS but could you imagine trying to plug Griffin in at SS, LOL

Searcy was forced into his role last year

 

Honestly, I want us to go out and sign a veteran RT or C. Draft the other in Day 2.

Lewan - Poutassi/Bell - newbie - Warmck - newbie

Hopefully the veteran presence + new talented rook + new coach will shake up the line enough to find success?

I don't know a ton about Nelson, but Gipson was a probowler last year. Lead the NFL in inceptions last year and the yr before. Before he tore his MCL he was one of the better safeties in the game. He should be 100% by the start of the season, would be a game changer - especially since it would mean no Griff.

Poutasi is obviously a Guard, everyone called that from GO, but I dont recall him playing a game as a Guard with us... Did I miss that or what?

 

The o-line might just have a coaching problem when Levitre left to go to Atlanta and started doing better he was asked what was different and he said the terminology is a lot different. Maybe are offensive line coach has a complete garbage way of thinking and its just to complex for these new guys to comprehend. (New guys = Rookies)

 

psh I wish it was that easy, but thats not why Levitre and the rest of our lined sucked then, and Levitre still sucks, whos the pecker head that told everyone he was better now?
