I'm not sure how much Mularkey had to do with keeping Lebeau around. From what I've heard, he likes the area and feels he isn't done coaching. I suppose we could have lost him with a different coaching hire, but the other guys we have hired all seem to be retreads that haven't had the best results as of late, or in most case any results at all as of late. This just smells really noxious to an average fan like me. I hope they prove me wrong, but as of now, it all looks like a bad 80s sitcom.

It honestly looks like a half step above Munch's staff, and Mularkey had a four week head start.

Russ Grimm his last 3 seasons as an OLine coach.

    2012 - 58 sacks (league worst) team record 5-11
    2011 - 54 sacks (2nd to worst) team record 8-8
    2010 - 50 sacks (2nd worst) team record 5-11

2015 Titans 54 sacks (last in the league)

Russ Grimm or no Russ Grimm we're screwed...

you can have all the best staff I the world, its the players who need to put the effort in and show how much the jersey means to them rather than the pay cheque.

    To which Paul Kuharasky says....

"Reviews I've gotten of the staff Mike Mularkey has assembled are not very good. Three guys -- O-line coach Russ Grimm, WR coach Bob Bratkowski and assistant secondary coach Steve Jackson -- have been out of the league. That doesn't make them bad, but they haven't been hot commodities. One assistant with another team told me Mularkey's three-year deal "is like a one-year deal," making positions unattractive."

    Yeah!

    ...

Or we could get players that are actually good at football and play for whatever reasons they want to.

It's a pro sport. Not Braveheart. I've never understood the argument that they have to be here because they love the Titans to be good.

Plenty of players have had outstanding careers playing for the money. Haynesworth played a year of some of the most inspired football I've ever seen. All for the money. Granted, he bailed the next year.

But you want professionals. That should be the quality you look for. It would be great for every player to be a Titan for life but the business doesn't allow for that.
