Funny how week one the past two seasons has been our super bowls. Just coast in the offseason after that baby.

Terrible management, bad drafting decisions (Sankey-Hunter-etc .etc.), free agents that didn't pan out, bad coaching, average to below average players on both sides of the ball- basically a sh*t show. That is what has been wrong with the Titans. Add on to that the current decisions made by the organization, and you have a recipe for suck. Our GM is our only hope really. Need talent in order to compete. We have very little of that at the moment.

I think the main issue with the team is the culture and mind frame of the players. Example, after week 1 victory, Taylor Lewan's statements after the game "We are not back yet, we need to win more. If anyone think we're back, we arent, and we have a lot to prove still."

First of all being "back" would require someone to have previously been part of a winning team. Taylor Lewan wasnt then, and wont be for a while. WShile some would argue that his comments were appropriate, and he was trying to manage expectations, if you really think about it, why is a guy, in his second year, after winning 2 games the year before, even in the mindset that he needs to say "we're not back"

There seems to be too many individuals on this team. Players just spewing stuff that isnt inherently bad, but if you look at everything as a whole, none of these are guys with a shared message or bond, they are just individuals doing what they think they should be doing.

There is zero, I mean zero leadership in the lockerroom. There is a lack of talent on this roster, but even so, this team could have been 7-9 if they had the right leadership.

But some of that is because of bad picks, and some because of lack of player development.
Too many position coaches hired for the wrong reason(s).
Players should improve year-to-year in a program, and with NFL experience. That doesn't seem to happen much around Nashville.
In two recent examples, two O linemen didn't improve until they left the program.
