Would have been better to just keep Jason Michael.

I personally like the Robiskie hire. Dude knows football better than most and is one of the most respected coaches in the league. As a wide recievers coach he's developed guys everywhere he's been and turned Roddy White into a Probowler. Not to mention what he did with Julio Jones and Harry Douglas.

We have wideouts with huge potential that has never been realized. This is exactly the kind of savy veteran we need coaching them up.

    Heres a nice lil bio.

    Atlanta Falcons: Terry Robiskie

Yes he had a lousy record as an O coordinator 12 years ago in Cleveland, but he had GARBAGE for talent that year. 34 year old Jeff Garcia, Rookie Luke Mccown and Kelly "Who?" Holcomb each started games that year. Tell me a coach who could have done better with that lot. Not to mention Willie Green as your tailback. Garbage. Can we really judge a mans success based on how he did with the Browns?!

    Two words : Bill Belichick.

Come on no Mrs Mularkey, even you recognize that nobody wanted Robiskie as an OC. Retaining your husband in order to get him part of the "sham".

Best just to leave quietly the next morning when somebody shamelessly pumps you. Let's quit with the sugar coating.

I know it's the typical fluff piece we'll get a lot of between now and September but liked that Robiskie seems to be no-nonsense guy.

“The way those guys operate, they demand excellence. They are not cool with being mediocre; that doesn’t fly with those guys. They know how to push their players to get the best of their players. I think it’s a great move, it’s the right move.”

Harry Douglas on Terry Robiskie: "I think it's a great fit"

Look folks. Y'all are practically worshipping at the altar of Lebeau, so here theres something you should realize. He was 67 when he hit his stride and started dishing up top ranked defenses in the NFL. 67!

The twenty years before that his defenses were consistently bottom half of the league, usually ranked as some of the worst.

I know Robiskie is old, yes the grandpa Simpson jokes are hilarious, but there is something to be said for having experience in this league and the respect of players. Robiskie has both.

Everyone here keeps yelling "we need someone young who wants it badly!". What the hell does wanting it badly have to do with analyzing opponents, understanding the intricacies of the game and formulating a plan of attack? Hell I "want it badly". Would I make a good OC? Hell no.

Give me experience over youthful zeal any day. Good coordinator hires across the board as far as I'm concerned.

I hope the coaching staff as a whole take this approach. Between JR saying that the team doesn't need "projects" and this I hope we start thinning the herd of these under performers.

You either have performers or you dont.....get rid of the latter.

He better not show up at Hunter's house and invite him out to the front yard. Not unless he wants a sucker punch to the jaw.
