If nothing else he would probablymake a good politician.

He seems good and is being overshadowed by the horrible coaching hire.

I really like what I heard from Robinson and I like his background with an organization like the Patriots. He knows what to do to win and was loved both in New England and Tampa. I'm not holding it against him that he agreed to keep Mularkey. Ownership seemed adamant about that decision so hopefully he can build enough talent for the Head Coach that he actually gets to hire. It kind of concerned me that he didn't seem ultra aggressive for free agency but he's a smart evaluator, he can bring in the right guys at the right price hopefully. That is how some of the top teams have stayed at the top, smart drafting and smart money management. Neither have been the Titans strengths, let's see if he can change that.

I wanna like him. But I still just can't get over the total b**** move of him taking the job contingent on keeping Mularkey (they can all act like that wasn't the case all they want, but we all know it's true). Makes him look extremely weak IMO and makes me fear he's just another yes man.

But his mom packed his dad's lunch for the farm everyday and that's good enough to renew hope in this franchise by a lot of the fans I heard call into 104.5 today.

We should be lucky he took the job. None of the other qualified guys would agree. At least Robinson gets a chance to build the talent level of this team and then bring in his own guy down the road. It sucks because we're going to have to wait longer but at least our GM is someone with glowing recommendations instead of another inside hire.

Im not sure why some here are so upset about his comments on Free Agency. Do you think we are one player away from winning? Like a Revis or Suh from being a legit AFC contender?

News flash: We are much further away, like 3 draft classes away.

Only knock on him yet IMO, is he didn't seem like the brightest/ wittiest public speaker. He does however seem very genuine and going off of some media. analysts, Daniel Jeremiah for one, Robinson is a true scout that is a legit talent evaluator. Thats all I need to hear. If we can nail some 1st and 2nd rounders while scoring some late round guys over the next 2-3 years Mariota will do the rest. Just need a coach to manage the game and keep guys in check.

I still would have been happier with Mcdaniels though.

I suppose that's true. I sincerely hope he lives up the hype. The whole "contingent on Mularkey" thing just really rubs me the wrong way.

He was painfully nervous at first. I felt awkward for him. He ended it well and I won't hold his press conference shyness against him. I hope for his sake his contract negotiations went well because he obviously coveted this job for some strange reason.

All he has to do is bring in some some home run first round talent and some solid later round picks and I'll be happy. Easier said than done.

Robinson - I like him. I think he's got good intentions. Hopefully it all works out for him and the Titans.
Underwood - Do not like. Lied to fans and doesn't understand why we are upset?
Mularky - Meh....time will tell. We're stuck with him anyway.
