I haven't and will not read it, because it is really as waste of time. We ALL know who and what this guy is......Our ownership literally may be the worst in the history of the NFL. So inept it's not even funny. I pray Manning, someone, anyone, comes in and either guts it or sells it. We are that bad. Browns look like champs compared to us. Think about that for a moment and let that sink in.

If you look at the QBs Mularkey has had to coach you can see why his record is what it is...He had Bledsoe for 1 yr in Buffalo and went 9-7...then it was Losman/Holcombe and they go 5-11...then on to Gabbert/Henne...then Mariota a few games before he gets hurt for the year...then finish off with the Mett show...

FYI, not to put too fine a point on it, but when Belichick got the Patriots job he would have been considered a "retread" as well. In the end Mularkey may not work out, but the reasons teams change coaches is because they suck. In Tennessee's case we're putting too much at the coaches' doorstep, when at least 60% of our problem has been a talent problem for years- through three head coaches now. Webster was lousy at drafting, as was Reinfeldt. Our 2008 team that started 10-0 was comprised of players drafted by Floyd Reese. Once Reese was gone so went this franchise's ability to really gauge talent. This franchise has also been cheap - letting Hasselbeck go to bring in Fitzpatrick for half the money (I contend that should we have kept Hasselbeck that we would have been in the playoffs during Munchak's last year).
Maybe with this new GM we'll get some better scouting and hopefully better players. It's not Mularkey's fault that portions of the team quit once there was no hope of making the playoffs (and when Mett was at the helm). Those players need to be replaced. In Lebeau we have one of the most accomplished defensive minds in the game. Do you think he forgot how to coach? I think he needs playmakers in the secondary that have a better track record of staying healthy. We need more depth at pass rush, as well as more experience/talent on the o-line. Finally we need a real running back and another receiver. These things can all happen pretty quick with good management and a willingness to spend to the cap. Hopefully this team is heading in that direction.

I agree that talent has been the primary issue with the Titans lack of success, but I still can't forgive Whiz for leaving Poutasi one on one with Watt. That was bad coaching. You have to know your teams weaknesses and try to minimize their impact on the game. The Colts had just shown how they doubled Watt every time and neutralized him. But Whiz just knew that his system was good enough to work and no need to change it at all to help out a struggling rookie....back to talent though maybe if we had better talent we wouldn't have been trying to start a rookie at RT.

Not Nota big fan of the hire, but I could not care less about a jags fan point of view. Mularky won two games last year.....and one was against the Jags.

Mularkey seems like a terrible motivator. Sure he wins the first game on the job, then the only other win came vs his old team...

Wheres that fire every other week?

Yea, the article to me was more nauseating because of the seemingly lack of heart from the Jags players. It also hits on how Mularkey is a coach from a different time. His issue may just be that he can't relate to young people.

Oh, I don't disagree, just saying I am not putting much stock in a jags fan opinion.
