Honestly, I think the team may have decided late in the season to tank and secure the 1st pick in the draft. Titans didn't seem to have much interest in winning those last couple games at least.

 

Which of course means literally nothing once September comes.

 

I know it's not the most reputable source but PFF had Casey as the #13 best D lineman in the NFL and DaQuan Jones was ranked #29

Searcy was ranked #11 and tied with Devin McCourty.

 

Poor field position isn't squarely on the offense. Sure our receivers are toilet water and the o-line wet toilet paper. But the defense letting other fools rip us for 15 yard rushing gashes and giving up 40 yard pass plays is squarely on them. It will take years to weed out the 4-3 guys and implant 3-4 guys at the rate the Titans do things.

My only hope is the new GM and new OC will figure things out quick!

 

I thought the defense played pretty well last year in games where they weren't on the field WAY too much due to 3 and outs. Mettenberger killed the defense when he played!!!

 

Mett show must go. We need a veteran backup who can actually play.

 

So the offense going 3 and out and giving the other team the ball back in good field position isn't solely on the offense? What?

We have transitioned to the 3-4 already! It's not going to take more time lol look at the stats vs when we were a 4-3 or even our first year as a 3-4.

Defense was on the field way too much last year because of our inept offense. That adds up over 4 quarters.

 

Weddle is a FA and has said he will not return to the Chargers. I say he should be our top FA target.

 

Well, I see this signing isn't a nightmare like I was hoping.
