Titans making a crucial mistake...again!

    I like the list of GMs that we have interviewed....seems to be more heavily weighted towards scouting/player eval than towards the business side of things. I think that if DeCosta from the Ravens was our top choice and that if he had accepted an interview that we would have offered him a job and that no other GMs would have been interviewed. Once Decosta turned us down then we move on to the list that requires us to interview quite a few more candidates. We have diligently interviewed that whole list and are making up our minds/negotiating with the candidates. Once we get our GM in place then the HC interviews will start in earnest. We have the mandatory Rooney interview with Austin tomorrow and Mularkey as well. I have no problem with them interviewing those 2 without our new GM present.

    This was so azz backward there has to be something else going on. ?Forced sale of at least some fraction of ownership to satisfy league? Odd that Strunk wasn't at owner's meetings under excuse of hiring new GM.....

    Wasn't that the entire point of the OP?...that once again the Titans were sitting around not making any hiring moves? The league making hires was exactly the point.

    My statement was obviously different that the OP's statement - and I have clarified it several times now.
    That said, my point was that not taking one of the buzz names out of the gate isn't necessarily the end of the world and let us not flip the **** out until the hire is made.
    Unfortunately there's no evidence that TN is the team that can ever find a diamond in the rough.

    I'm wondering if we already made the choice of GM and now we are interviewing the coaches they have shown internet in or chose.
