Buccaneers fire Lovie Smith

That's a head scratcher. Bucs looked to be a team on the come up.

 

Kind of shocks me.... They had a much better season this year. Lovie seemed to be well liked by the fans. Sucks cause it is one more team to compete with for HC candidates...

 

This means a couple of teams are gonna end up with an unknown coach probably the browns and someone else let's hope is not us.

I'm actually quite surprised this forum is all over McDaniels jock but is Luke-warm at best for Lovie.

Lovie has made it to a Super Bowl. Daniels flamed out in Denver and looked over his head at times.

Maybe hes matured sure and could be a Belichek Jr. overtime and would be a splashy hire , I'm not pro or con extremely one way or another - just kind of surprised how many people are fawning over McDaniels ...

 

Whisenhunt made it to a Super Bowl as well....just sayin....

Such a knee jerk reaction. They were a competitive team throughout the majority of the season.

6-10 with a rookie QB is not the end of the world. Not bad at all.

It's an embarrassing decision on their part.

 

This one makes no sense. Has to be more to the story than just his win/loss record. The team has some talent and was showing some serious flashes of potential this season. Nothing like what we had with Whiz.

 

Well of course that isn't the be all tell all, wasn't the entire point but I gotcha
