Well, Star Wars had already been spoiled for me from a random unrelated post on facebook. Not thrilled with what I heard.

My expectations are even lower now. Will still watch, but I know nothing will top the originals for me.

ROTJ was the end of the story for the characters I cared about.. Like Rocky Balboa was for the Rocky series. But I'll consider this like I consider Creed... Just a bit of bonus from the old characters, even though we've seen their real relevance.

I doubt I'll find myself attached to Rey and Finn. Not sure how big of a part the old farts have in the upcoming films, but I'm expecting my interest to dwindle like it did after the 1st prequel. But I'm going to give this a fair shake. I've been surprised by movies before.

It's a real bummer they didn't capitalize on this before the stars became senior citizens. If they could have continued the story in the late 80s-90s instead of doing the theatrical re-released rapings of the originals, and the new trilogy.. It would have been awesome to see movies with Han and Luke with some tread left on the tires.

Han, Leia, Luke, and Vader are the lifeblood of the franchise. we'll see if this franchise can stand without all these characters propping it up.

Going tomorrow night to see it because of this.

People are deliberating posting spoilers everywhere on reddit.

So they can essentially shut down the internet by posting spoilers everywhere.

Rocky lost me after 4. Rocky 5 doesn't exist.

Lol yeah R5 was bad. Rocky balboa was a great ending to the series. I ignore that 5 ever existed.. As I do with the prequels to Star Wars. And the last season of Roseanne.

If you've never seen Rocky balboa, you really should. Very good ending to the series. Stallone refused to do Creed for a long time, because he knew RB was the best ending for that character.

But Rocky was great in Creed, too. There's hardly a Rocky movie out there that doesn't make me cry, in all honesty. Besides 5, of course.

Balboa and Creed are great. It shows the harsh realities of life, facing your mortality, and aging.. Something that you don't often see in movie heroes. Very real and very touching. Creed holds up very well compared to the originals.

If I ever worked out, I'm sure I'd agree with that.

I still tear up on 1 and 2. What a great story. I haven't seen Creed, but will.
