    This.

There's no doubt the JR1980 would kill for Dont'a Hightower, CJ Mosely, and Clinton-Dix.

Derrick Henry is Legarette Blount. Would anyone spend a top 35 pick on Legarette Blount? I wouldn't.

First off I wouldn't say Blount is killing it. He's been a serviceable NFL back with 1 1000 yd season. He's better than any we have now but no one would spend 2nd rd pick on him now.

Second, all of those guys were picked in the second round. Since we will be picking 1st or 2nd overall, there's no way we should pick Henry. Tunsil in the first round, maybe the receiver from TCU in the second (his name escapes me) or even Jarren Reed from Bama instead of the TCU WR. If Henry is still available in the late second I think it would be fine to trade up and get him there, but no way 1st or 2nd pick in the 1st or 2nd rds.

No, he isnt. Seriously, Blount had issues on and off the field in college... Henry doesn't. Making an asnine remark like that... SMH and walk away.

The poster was asking a question where JCB compared Henry to Blount. He didn't mean he was Blount.

Appears to be a statement not a question to me. But then again I haven't read thru the entire thread.

    Their playing styles are identical.

Both are incredibly leggy and need room to get going(Henry is even leggier than Blount). If they need to change direction in the backfield the play is over. Neither are particularly dangerous in the passing game. Both have great speed for guys of their size.

    How was I wrong?

Yeah you're right, seems like Blount cuts much better and runs behind his pads while henry has a little more speed and is more upright in his running style. other than that they are super close though. if there is a comparison in the NFL for henry it's blount for sure.

Well, first off production vs superior competition overall. His running style is closer to Eddie George than Blount. If you've ever watched him when contact is imminent he can definately lower his shoulder. Power, speed, is a better pass receiver out of the backfield than Blount was when he came out. Definately better in pass protection, if you'll remember that was one of the reasons the Titans (not the only one) cut him, he wasn't picking up the protection aspect of the game. As I've pointed out there are plenty of RB'S who have an upright running style including but not limited to Arian Foster, Eddie George, Eric Dickerson and many others. That style isn't detrimental in the correct blocking scheme. Henry is a one cut back just like the guys I mentioned were. And as I said earlier, you don't have to wonder what guys gonna show up with Henry. Blount had on field and off field issues and has even had issues as a pro, I just don't see the same guy you see evidently.
