The defensive scheme puts a LOT of pressure on the CB's, which is one of the team's weaknesses. Other than that, the offense must get more consistent. ...and we lose too much yardage on special teams.

Tre McBride did make a positive contribution, with a nice return, the FF, drawing a hold and another play where he contained well on the return. He deserves a look at WR.

 

I am not a MM8 homer. I like the kid, but he has made mistakes. I expect him to do so. He is a rookie; anyone who expects him not to put up bad passes is being unrealistic. I think for the conditions he was playing in, he put together a solid day. He finished with 3TDs; when was the last time a Titans' QB put together as many multiple TD games as he has this year?? Let alone a rookie.

Our WRs are consistently out of position, cannot separate, and are not running routes full speed. I think Mularkey called out Kendall on that last pick because the ball was thrown to where he SHOULD of been. The bad part about that is; he cannot depend on them to be in position.

This was not his best game for sure, but if he had better WRs I see this as a totally different game. You can only count on the TEs so much. At some point our WRs have got to contribute more.

 

Some one said our Defense puts a lot on our DBs. I do not see that. I see much more put on the LBers. If they do not get a great pass rush going; then our weak link (The secondary) is exposed. When we have a great pass rush the secondary looks ok. I think the same can be said about any defense. Our defense just has to depend on the pass rush too much as we have below average CBs like Sensabaugh.

 

How many big pass plays has Sensabaugh given up this year? Far more than he has covered, I can tell you that. It seems every game a big pass comes his way and he is at least 3 steps behind.

I know we do not have a lot of options right now; but the secondary has to be addressed before this team will ever win close games. Otherwise opposing QBs will continue to target Sensabaugh and convert.

 

I agree which makes it that much more headscratching that we have a roster with so many TEs and so few WRs.

for the guy looking for the replay of the holding play there wasnt one even cbs said they guessed what they showed was it but couldnt be cause there wasnt aany holdding on the play per greg gumbal

 

Yea the refs called a phantom penalty on that one; and it ultimately cost us the win. It seems like the refs call a penalty regularly on the Titans that everyone else struggles to see. It would be different if anyone said, yea I can see that. When even the announcers say, I do not see how there is any holding; it is obvious. Especially when the "Hold" happened on the side of the field where the field was NEVER going to go. It started the opposite direction and Carr never even looked the other way.

The Raiders even said in the post game that they thought they were done and were running off the field. Magically the flag shows up late and they get to come back out.

 

Terrible call.

The angle CBS showed us wasn't near close enough but it didn't look he had a hold of anything and as you said the ball was thrown to that side of the field.

what if Carr saw the hold and heaved it deep knowing he had the FD?

cause going deep only needing what 8 yards for a FD was pretty real dumb
