I agree with this 100%, but in saying that Kelly may very well be fired here in Philadelphia. If you know Philadelphia you know the fans turn on you quickly. Very few here is interested in keeping a guy who we feel ran the team down. However, my personal opinion on the subject is that it's very short cited. Yes he has GM roles, but Chip didn't lobby for it he got it by default. Yes he traded away Shady, but the two backs he got in return nearly everyone said created a better back field! What has Shady done this year???

I mainly think it's short cited because it takes more than ONE SEASON to build a team. Kelly is a victim of his own success. He came in the league and won 2 consecutive seasons with guys that he said didn't fit his system. When he started making personnel moves EVERYONE expected him to at least match that level of success
The reality is teams take time to gel and when you start making big sweeping changes it takes time to build chemistry. I personally don't want Chip as a HC because I feel like he still need to learn how to manage the game. If his system fails it's nit because it's not a good system, he just needs to learn when to step of the gas and when to hit the breaks.

After reading nearly 200 post in this thread I'm shocked to not read any say that Bill and the Pat's literally consulted with Chip while in college and adopted a lot of Chips ideals in their offense. So if you wonder if his system can win just turn and look at our current SB Champs. The main difference is Bill B is a master at Game Management.

This one season definitely should not be enough to get Chip fired considering his overall performance since entering the NFL, unfortunately because he's coaching in Philadelphia it just may...

Yeah, I've read and listened to the chatter of what players have said but take a moment and think if they're just sour? It's like getting dumped when you're in a relationship and you thought things were great. Its shock, surprise and emotional when you like where you're at but got traded or cut. Sure, when you're not winning players gripe but when they were winning last two season did DeSean, Shady, Foles, Mathis, Maclin gripe about hating him and not wanting to be there?

Chip did turn that team around when he took it over and they won what 10 games each sesson? My point is, if he was our coach, I think we will see more wins than we have seen in years.

Philly looks like they are missing their spinach, gummy beary juice if you will.

They look ordinary, soft and slow and I know that's the antithesis of what Chip wants to be.

I don't buy that he turned it around all that much. Andy Reid built a solid team there, no denying that, and it wasn't until chip traded away all said solid players that they start losing. And as someone alluded to before, it could be like the rf3/kaepernick/vy effect, just in a different way, as no one really knew what to expect or how to combat it.

And that's the difference. One guy is willing to incorporate concepts that fit his QB and the other isn't willing to change anything, regardless of fit.

Yeah but 1 bad season any other fanbase is hardly cause of being canned. It's just the madness that is Philly Sports man...

I mean really, this is what chip Kelly took over

Kelly didn't turn around a bad team. He took over a good team coming off a year with injuries at the QB position, then ditched all the good players, now they suck.

Eh, I do agree with you on the surface. That is a huge difference, but in all honesty who manages a game better than Bill B? That's what makes him.the greatest coach of this Era love him or hate you can't deny that. However, Bill has had years at developing his ability to manage a game.

When he had Bledsoe the Pat's were ok but not dominant. Then enter Brady and he started to peak and Bill had his guy. Several years later Brady gets hurt and Matt steps in. The Pat's barely miss a beat, but by this time he already became the Bill (football genius) we've all came to respect.

But like I said I do agree with you, because Chip does need to learn when to step on the gas and when to hit the breaks during games. He just needs more time and the Eagles would be foolish to fire the gut after one bad season regardless of how bad it was/is.

I know. The thing is Chip and that personality of his is the perfect fit for that market and fan base.

If anyone can deal with THAT madness he can!
