I'd like to see Kelly...let him bring Scott Frost (former Nebraska Husker QB, and Oregon's OC the past few years) in to run his offense. He needs to consult heavily with Lebeau on how to adapt his offense to the NFL. I feel he is still trying to figure that out. And yes, he would have to relinquish any ambitions of being the GM, too.

Regarding Webster...I know it's not a popular sentiment right now, but with the defense doing well this year, and after drafting MM8 + DGB + Cobb (Poutasi may still develop into a solid starter...he certainly has the size) + Bell playing fairly well...Webster has made a case for himself to get another year to show he belongs.

Yes, I know he's made some screwups....but so did Floyd Reese, whom everyone is clamoring for. I remember Reese ALWAYS, year after year trying to get by with average, no name WR's. He always drafted OL late in the draft...whereas Webster has spent multiple early picks at both position groups.

Let Webster draft OT Tunsil + Henry at RB and bring in some real secondary talent in FA, and this is a damn fine ballclub, suddenly. You can't deny that he's made some good calls on the entire DL, and we have good depth there. We're pretty good at LB. I think Stafford might end up replacing Griffin, cause the kid lays the wood whenever he comes into the game.

What the hell are you smoking?

Yeah just add chip kelly, these other random coaches from around college, lebeau, who's not under contract. Throw in some solid defensive hacks from free agency, draft the #1 rb in college football, sprinkle some salt and bake for 30 minutes.

This is a horribly constructed team. We are years away even with a solid coach coming in, and solid draft and free agency. Webster has never had a solid draft. We are not a few pieces away bro. We are in our way to 2-14 again. 8-8,7-9 even 6-10 is getting to a few pieces away, we are in full on rebuild mode 2-3 years from the playoffs. 3-5 from any realistic shot at winning anything. And that's if Webster gets fired this year. Add a year on top for any further years he is our gm

What do y'all think about young OCs like Josh McDaniels or Mike Shula? This is an interesting article and makes some good points about what Shula has done with Cam.

Will Mike Shula finally get NFL head-coaching consideration? | ProFootballTalk

Outside of bringing in the same old recycled coaches that would only be available after getting fired for sucking on another team the other option is taking a shot on a coordinator that has been around a good organization, worked with good coaches and has a proven system.

Would rather see Mike Shula than Kelly or McDaniels after watching his work with Newton and the Panthers

I'd take McDaniels or Shula over Kelly. Really impressed with what Shula has done with Cam though. He's become a much better QB IMO.

You guys really want Chip? Hell no. Eagles are getting massacred on a regular basis, and he has way more talent there than we have.

Hue Jackson is the only choice for this team.

It blows my mind that after watching Chip kill that eagles team that people still want him here.

Gase gets more and more attractive with each passing week. Think there's a chance he's one of the "next generation" of great NFL minds.

Also, the idea that keeping a 78-year-old defensive coordinator should have any impact on the next head coach is absolutely insane.

You hire the best head coach possible, then let him pick his DC. If he wants LeBeau, cool. If not, also cool.

Hiring the right guy as HC is 100x more important than keeping DC who has maybe 1-2 years tops left in football.
