Because I was the biggest Whiz fan.

I liked Whiz SO MUCH, that I listed him as a coach that I flat-out didn't want to hire when the search was going on, but hey, what do I know?

I DVR every game and watch them Monday. Your fanaticism sucks compared to mine.

I would like chip in tn, only if we fire whiz and get a gm willing to draft/pickup players that will fit. I don't wsnt chip as hc, oc and gm. With players like walker, wright and of corse mm, i think chip would be able to get thibgs going here. Like another poster said, i would like them to bring in another mobile qb to back mm up tho. Also wouldn't mind snagging boykins in the draft, to play swiss army knife. If we got a new gm, chip and kept lebeau/horton we would be in a good place, imo.

To those wanting Chip, have you considered whether our OL is capable of a zone heavy offense?

Not so sure about Chip, his ego concerns me but as long as lebeau and Horton remain, I'm cool. I like where our defense is headed and it would be a shame to shake that up. With that being said, I wouldn't even mind if Horton became head coach with Lebeau as DC as long as we got a new GM. I feel we're not so far off from being solid. Give mariota and the defense another year of development , decent draft and FA pick ups and we're headed in the right direction . We don't need some blow hard giving us a total make over, we need smart picks and pick ups and some strong leadership.

I think two losses can be directly tied to Don Pellum and having to start Jeff Lockie or Taylor Allie. Helfrich seems to be doing a good job. You see what they're capable of with Vernon Adams...that dang late hit against Eastern Washington cost Oregon two wins IMO. I think they lose to Utah anyway.

As for Tennessee, I don't know who I want...offensive guy (no OL coach!) who has had success or could schematically have success with an athletic QB.

The game I'm talking about was versus WSU. They had the momentum and a 15 point lead with the game clearly not over in the 4th. Helfrich pulled Lockie and Freeman and subbed them with Benoit and Alie. They stopped them on that position. WSU went down scored and gained momentum which lead them to victory. I just think Helf can take ownership on that one. And the loss kept them out of Champ game.
