We lost to the stains, so how are they able to pick ahead of us?

He's made some bad calls, but he's also made some good ones, too. Lewan, Mariota, DGB, Williamson, Orakpo, Searcy were good gets, but I would not be surprised to see him asked to resign at seasons end. If Peyton Manning does indeed retire (he really should...otherwise he's gonna end up going out in an embarrassing way), the Titans really want him as the President, and I would expect him to clean house...except LeBeau and maybe Horton. He'd probably want his own pick at GM and HC.

As for Mularkey, the only way I could see him having any chance is if we suddenly got hot...but with the Patriots among the remaining teams left to play, that means we'd finish no better than 7-9. I personally think the Jax game was a must win for him and all the remaining games except the Patriots.

He chose to get conservative when he got a small lead, in the 4th Qtr...and that is part of the reason why Whisenhunt got fired. He should have gone full throttle against them, knowing how we have lost games this year simply because we got too conservative in the playcalling.

Man I hope this is the case...I just don't get it...
Yeah I knew that..guess I'm having an off night tonight lol...

I honestly thought we were higher than the Browns though right now considering we lost to them, but realized SoS is the first tie breaker.

I can honestly agree with almost all of this. Except I think the jury is still out on Lewan and definitely DBG. I think they will be okay over time, but right now they need more time to continue to grow. As far as the other guys they were solid pick ups.

You really think the Titans still want Peyton as the president? I'd be shocked if it happens. I know Bud really wanted it but has there been any evidence the rest of the Adams family feel the same way?

I've read some articles about it on 24/7 (Titans page), mentioning that both the Titans and Cleveland want him to lead their front offices. We'll see, but I distinctly recall Bud offering Peyton a front office job after he retired, on top of trying to get him here as the QB. We were No.2 in his consideration.

The reason he picked Denver, he said, was because of Elway. I suspect that would be the kind of job he'd relish most, after retiring...so, yeah, I think there is a decent chance. Problem is, if he tries to play another year, the Titans will move on.

if Gayton cant finish this year he has no hope of going elsewhere

This aint baseball where you can hide a guy and allow him to chase a record.

If he dont come back strong in 15 hes done wether he wants to be done or not. And by come back strong I mean start and finish games effectively. Nobody expects 2003 Gayton but early 2015 Gayton would be good enough for him to keep on going into 2016.

Well yeah I knew Bud definitely wanted him, but now that Bud is no longer with us I was just wondering if any of the people currently running the teams wanted him.

It would be interesting to see though. I really wonder how qualified he is to be in that roll. I thought the same thing about Elway as well, but hey he turned out pretty well for the Broncos so why can't it be us as well #FingersCrossed.

Either way I'll be glad just knowing the team will be going in a different direction good or bad in regards to the front office. I'd rather go backwards taking a chance than sticking with what we are currently doing.

I had posted this earlier, but they pick ahead of us because strength of schedule is the first tie breaker. Cleveland currently have a .500 SoS where as the Titans are .519, and the Chargers are .513 or something like that. I don't have it in front of me now, but that's what I recall last time I read it.

    Bump

Might be life in the old dog yet and know we got players calling for the interim tag to be dropped.
