    Question time

Looks like we are heading for another top 5 pick.

If you have the choice of Joey Bosa or Jalen Ramsey who do we take? While an upgrade in the secondary is more of a need, how can you not take Bosa.

Which is worse, our secondary or our front-seven?

We just let a guy who completes less than 60% of his passes for his career complete 80%. We sacked him five times.

    Our secondary is worse.

Both our #1 and #2 cornerbacks where down again yesterday so difficult to fully judge. Ramsey would be an obvious upgrade to Griffin at FS.

I guess the question is can Jones shift inside to NT and have Casey-Jones-Bosa on the dline, or have Cox-Ramsey-Searcy-McCourty.

I'm easily going Jalen Ramsey. DaQuan Jones is having a solid year & I see some promise in Blackson. However, in the secondary Ramsey could replace Griffin, or step in and be CB2 day 1. Likely taking the CB1 job from McCourty shortly after... that's if we use him as a CB. He's a difference maker, something we desperately need in our secondary.

Of course there's always the view that a good front-7 makes a poor secondary look better. However, we already have a good front-7, yet our secondary still sucks haha

I'm the same way. I want us to find a RT & CB/FS before we look at RB, simply because it's an "easier" position to fill. However, we still need a new runningback next year. I love both Elliott & Henry, but do not love taking RBs in the 1st. However, it sure seems to have worked for the Rams & Gurley this year... not so much for Chargers & Gordon.

Not a ton of free agent RBs this year though: Matt Forte, CJ Anderson, Ronnie Hillman, James Starks, LeGarrette Blount, Matt Asiata, Khiry Robinson, Chris Ivory, Doug Martin, & Alfred Morris. Honestly, if we could pick up any of those guys, I'd be happy... any of them would be an upgrade to AA, McCluster, and/or Cobb at this point.

This is going to be such a big offseason for us. We will be loaded with cap space, and what looks to be a top 5 pick. With Mariota hopefully this will be a desirable place to play.

This year has been all about developing Mariota, as well as some others.
    - DGB needs to improve before the end of the year.
    - I love what Blackson and Jones have being doing.
    - We have to take a real hard look at Cobb to see what we have there.
    - Once we are mathematically out of the playoffs, Poutasi needs to be inserted at LG.

We do have some pieces, a decent offseason, Mariota with a year experience and new head coach and GM. We should be ready for a playoff push next year.

Chris Ivory would be a good pick up. Would throw a 1 year deal at Forte too.

Yeah I just can't imagine Forte playing here, he'll want a contender. He's still a good player, Top-10 RB, so a lot of teams will be interested.

Agree with all of this. Heck, I'd start Poutasi at LG ASAP, Looney hasn't done any better. Sure, we have given up any sacks recently, but that's due to Mariota getting rid of the ball quicker. There's going to be growing pains with Poutassi, but we need to see if there's ANY potential there.

Still praying that DGB & Mariota can get it rolling, hoping that's our dynamic duo for the next 10 years.

As of right now, I think I'm on the Alex Collins train. I think Elliott is the best of the bunch, but Collins picks his way through traffic and is really patient. Good pass protector too.

The only thing I would worry about is his the amount of work he's gotten. I wouldn't doubt that some guys have more carries, but those guys probably aren't lining up in the I-formation every down either. Although I would be willing to look past that in the second round.
