He'll get to 200 wins this season.

I'd love Manning here in the same role Denver has Elway.

I'd like to see them give it a shot, but don't expect it to happen.

Not sure he is ready for it. But yeah, I think it would def give this org some direction. Something it desperately needs.

Well... Growing up in east Tennessee during his college years, and noticing that he's the only thing people know about the team, also noting that he couldn't beat Florida if his life depended on it, a small flame started in my heart that consisted of a mild dislike of him because of his popularity in the area.

Which only worsened when the titans moved to Tennessee and were promptly ignored by the locals because peyton was drafted by the dolts, then the divisions were realigned, and guess who ended up in our division?

It all stems from him being a local god, and his worshipers being pompous asses who think he can do no wrong.

The only thing titans oriented you'll see in east Tennessee is a bud light truck.

There's gatorade ads with pictures of him from his college days here, he's fscking everywhere. So much that it's nauseating.

We have a pro team of our own, and these motards cheer for whatever team Peyton plays for, I can forgive the hawaiians who cheer for mariota, Hawaii is short one nfl team. So they gravitate to the titans, i can accept that.

It's one thing to cheer for a college player in his nfl career, it's another to pine over them and act like nothing else matters because vawl fur lahf. Even though he's from Louisiana.

The deifying of manning is stupid, because it makes them ignore any of the other great accomplishments of the program, the storied history of the team. All they know is him, not Johnny majors, or neyland, or even that bear bryant himself had a stint there. Nope, they couldn't even tell you why they're called the volunteers. They know smokey, not Davey Crockett.

So yeah, i am an alabama fan. Out of spite, but at least i don't like Georgia or Florida.

I think Peyton would end up as a VP, President, or some type of front office job (similar to Elway) over a coaching job.

I'm a life long Knoxville resident, a second generation UT graduate, and a VFL, and even I agree with pretty much everything you just said.

There is no way to know for sure, but historically good players make terrible coaches. Not sure why that is. Maybe we should be looking at CBJ instead.
