You assume so, and to a logical person, absolutely they would be regardless, but if we make the playoffs do you actually have faith in our FO to hold the same mentality?

After these last couple of years, I don't.

If we do enough to make the playoffs after a 1-6 start then maybe its the right move...

Im mostly on board with you but if Mularkey can get anything close to playoff birth out of this team I'll be impressed..

Ok so let me go back and start over. If Mularky and the Titans can make a run, and do so decisively, meaning they really show they are a LOT better than the the first few games under Whiz, then I would consider Mularky if we don't make the playoffs.

Future hall of fame coach? WTF are you smoking? Oh still on the Sean Payton thing? Guess what he is an average coach with a HOF QB. My gawd you have a hard on for a coach that most likely will not be available!

What an amazing coincidence all these genius coaches have HOF QBs.

You live in fantasy land where by some miracle we draft 7-8 hof players and get a hof coach that another team fired and win for 10 years. Are you taking your medication?

Two Kings has written about 15 posts where he mentioned Sean Payton as if he is actually an option for us next year.

    Get this boy some help!

By the way Payton has won 61% of his games and he never coaches a season without Drew Brees. Jeff fisher could have done that.

I wouldn't mind Hue at all. I would ideally though prefer to bring in someone who wants to keep the defensive coaching staff intact and I think Hue is a 4-3 guy. I'd hate to have to move Orakpo to a 4-3 DE or just outright release him, I love his intensity and leadership he brings.

We may have to make that decision though, do we go for Hue and switch back to 4-3 or go get a coach that's not quite as good offensively.

Dang it, I wish we had just held out for Dan Quinn.

I'm not content with small gains but i also understand the NFL and how it works. This Dynasty talk is a different beast this day in age. This isn't madden where its as easy as clicking a button. Salary cap, coach,QB, and players willing to take less $$$ to stay together are all factors. All those combinations are very rare these days because its all about the money to most of them.

The division being as sh*ty as it is shouldn't negate the potential turn around Murlarkey could do. Not his fault the div. sucks so he might as well make it work in his favor. Last year the Panthers made it to the playoffs with a 7-8-1 record and won their division. They won their first game and lost the second. You think the fan base was pissed because they had a losing record getting in? It's all about getting in at that point. Even IF the Titans lose their first game, the experience and psyche of getting to that point in itself is enough of a building block going into next year.

If MM is healthy, I could see us winning the rest of our divisional games.

Jags x2 ... jags aren't that great. With MM I think we can win
Texans ... Mett ain't playing this time (hopefully)
Colts ... revenge for the last game we should've beaten them.

That would give us 6 wins ... I think we need 7 or 8 to make the POs. So where do the other win(s) come from?

    Panthers ... highly doubt it
Raiders ... possible but still unlikely
Jets ... our best chance at a win
    Pats ... LOLOLOLOL

I see us with 6 wins. 7 if we play really well ... I have a hard time seeing us get to 8.

Panthers arent as good as their record might suggest.

Theyve played virtually no real defenses, and the ones who are half good keep the games very close.. We could pull off an upset..

If I had to pick one of the four, I think the best chance is this weekend against the Panthers. They have question marks on Offense, if we can take care of the ball it's gonna be close. I think our defense will ball out again. In the words of Mularky we are feeling it right now. Desperate to get a win for the fans??

The Jets(which I just got tickets for ) will be hard and we have struggled with dominating Dlines.
Raiders will be a shoot out.
    Pats are just too good.
