ARob has 707. Hearns has 635. Barring injury, they should easily get there.

    My own personal view:

Lets assume, they win out in divisional games. That 2 wins vs Jags, 1 each vs Texan and Colts

2-6 now, that puts us at 6-6

    Of the remaining games:

    @ jets
    @ patriots
    Vs Oakland
    Vs Panthers

we would need minimum, 2 of those games, really 3 of them. If we are common sensing it, Panthers and Pats are out, Jets and Oakland would be big games for us to win.

Winning out the division is "do-able", and winning 2 of the other 4 games is doable, so 8-8 is most likely our best case scenario, and that is going 6-2 the final 8 games of the season, which if you are a titans fan doesn't seem real.

If we do something say beat the panthers on Sunday, it still would require us to beat the Jets and Oakland which arent easy wins.

Will 8-8 get us into the playoffs and win the division? maybe, but you cant count on it. Can we win out the division? Yeah, everyone in our division is beatable, but we've already found ways to lose winnable games, so even a really good 8-8 prediction, which is entirely possible, requires the team to make a full transformation.

Sunday vs the panthers will tell us alot, if we put up a good showing or pull out a win, I would say the team is in fact different, if we go back to the same ole titans, I honestly think we are in store for maybe 1 or 2 more wins all year, and those would most likely come from the jags.

If we pull out some wins, what a heck of a January 3 we will have if the division crown is on the line in Indy to close out the season. Talk about one heck of a set up. would be awesome.

I know its all unlikely, but we might as well look at it positively at least until Sunday.

We can win on Sunday, and it would be a real statement game for us. We must take care of the football. Say we beat the Panthers, and then have the short week and beat the Jags.

We would then match the Colts in the win column, surely that would put some pressure on them and with Luck down and tough trip to Atlanta. There is a good chance we could both be 4-6 on the night of 11/22/15.

I know it's unlikely, but if we can battle out a win on Sunday, Its on big time!

Just beat the Colts, Texans, and Pats. Thats all I ask. I hate the Jags as well, but not as much considering they've sucked just as bad as us recently. But I really loathe the Texans, Colts, and Pats especially. Man, what I would give to see Brady cry....

Its been nearly 2 whole years since we've won back to back games, if we can break that trend we might have something special...

Ugh. Where do I even start.

Can we all agree that we all want this team to be a playoff team and yes in an ideal situation we make the playoffs and Mularkey is the guy we need and draft well regardless of position and are in the superbowl hunt next year. Great, awesome, I want that to.

Do some of us BELIEVE it will happen. F*ck no. Do I believe Mularkey is a good coach that will take us to the Superbowl. No. nope. not even. And that's the problem. Its not because we are "fake fans", it's because all you need to do is read the above posts in the last 3 pages. People are all ready psyching themselves into believing this is our guy and someone who can turn us into a super bowl team. You think this FO is any different? Nope.

So what do I fear that happens? Mularkey gets the job, Webb stays, and we miss out on the chance to hire a future hall of fame coach. Meanwhile Texans, Jags, and Colts get better and we are looking at another 5 years of mediocrity. Great. We just prolonged the inevitable.

No one is a fake fan for having that fear and no one is a fake fan for preferring to see a different path that gets us to where we ALL want to be: Super bowl champs.

Let me ask you this, would you trade a decade of Division Champs for 1 immediate playoff appearance? I sure as hell wouldn't. I want that Decade of Destruction and I just don't see that being a reality with Webb and Murlarkey.

So yea, of course I want playoffs if it means growth, but I don't see it unless we get a new regime in here and I'm not willing to sacrifice a new regime that has the potential of bringing in multiple consecutive playoff berths, for 1 measly playoff berth.

Just realized I'll be in Hawaii for the first round of the playoffs. That would be sweet to watch the game with all the MM8 fans in Hawaii.

Not going to quote your whole post because it's too damn long but the thread is asking if we have a shot at the division not if we're going to San Francisco in Feb. We're 1.5 games back from 1st place so it's not unrealistic to think we can't win the division. I think for the most part IF Murlarkey is able to turn the ship and finish the season strong he should be given a chance. Barring any significant injuries if we finish the season strong like 8-8 or better Murlarkey should get a shot. Will that be enough for the division ? Who knows but if it is then you ride it out and see what happens. Regardless most people on here will agree and say give the guy a shot. IF he does that type of turn around mid-season who's to say he couldn't get this team ready to make a run the following year ?? Foolish to sit here and say he can't do this or that based on one game he's coached mid season . The FO aspect will probably hinder on Murlarkey's record so we'll have to wait and see.

Loss to the Browns with Manziel as their starter really makes me question who we can beat.

We are such a confusing team to predict, one week losing to the Browns, one week beating the Saints. Plus our annual loss to the Jags is yet to come, so as much as I will cheer for them, I don't expect playoffs.
