Who else is completely sure we've found our QB in Mariota??

Gave Titan fans something to be excited about (except iceburg and 520) CHECK!

 

I'll wait until atleast the end of next year before I'm 100% sure. Just look at players like RG3 (ruins his career due to injury) or Kaepernick (just sucks).. they both showed success early on and end up flopping.

I don't think thaty'll happen with Mariota, but don't want to get my hopes up.

 

I'm sold on him...re-watched the game last night and their were several times that our OL whiffed on their guys and MM was able to escape/get rid of the ball so damn fast that he avoided the negative play....that is improvement from early on. This kid has it...this will just be the first of many comeback victories that he leads.

 

yeah I am, i think i can honestly say I see the difference between mett and mariota, and I prefer mariotta long term. glad we got him.

theres no trickery involved either, like with VY RG3 Kapernick, etc. They ran around and did dynamic stuff, and as soon as adjustments were made, they were benched. Marcus is playing like a qb, and will only get better, hes not doing things to get by, his quarterbacking is what is keeping us in games, and in a year or 2, when hes in total control of the offense, calling plays at the line, we should have one heck of an offense.

alot is going to depend on who the next coach is, and what type of situation the titans are in down the road the next 2 or 3 years, if the next coach is another whisenhunt, i dont know how far marcus can go truthfully.

 

Too funny. Almost forgot about that one. A least there was no weed in the car as opposed to our good old friend Cliff Harris. Generally speaking, if you're driving 97 MPH down the freeway it's a good idea not to introduce cannabis into the equation.

I still stand by this post..

Mariota has worked out some kinks and gotten a lot better since coming to the NFL.. He's still not really surrounded by talent, we've been atrocious all year. A lot of that may have had to do with Whiz. We'll see if we sustain success now that he is gone.

Rookie QBs that come in with a good attitude and work hard have a tendency to make those around them play closer to the best of their ability. Maybe we will now begin to see guys like Justin Hunter play like we all thought he should

I dont care what the influx of Oregon homers we've gotten around here since drafting Mariota think.. plenty of his pitches in Oregon had pick written all over them. If he didnt correct his delivery in the offseason, he'd be Mr. Pick City and we'd all be b!tching about a possible bust while the Oregon homer accounts went mysteriously silent.

 

There is no doubt (barring injury) that Mariota is and will be our qb. He is good enough that we will stick with him as long as we can. The only thing I see him missing is a deep ball. I don't know if it is possible to develop a deep ball, but he can be very good even without one.
