Pro bowl

Orakpo has 22 tackles, 5 sacks which is 1.5 behind the NFL sack leader at his position.

Morgan has 22 tackles, 4.5 sacks, a FF, several QB pressures, and hits.

Casey has 25 tackles & 4 sacks.

Heck Woodyard has 48 tackles. 3 sacks, & a pick.
The defense has been pretty good this year. The pass rush has been much better than I can remember in years. The defense has kept us in games and given us a chance to win. I have no problem voting for any of the guys I have listed. I do not think any of them will make it other than maybe Casey or Orakpo. It would be a tragedy for Casey not to make it again this year.

On offense there has not been much. I will say this though. Delanie Walker deserves to get a reserve spot at least. He should of made it last year IMO. Walker has been a consistent player on a bad offense. He had a fit about fans not supporting them at home, but I don't care about that. He has 42 Receptions, 456yds, 10.9yd average, 3TDs, & a 2pt conversion. I mean we are only at week 10.....he has plenty of games to add to those numbers. He has been consistent. I think he deserves our votes.

Just my opinions on the players listed. I doubt any of them get in just because of our record & small market. It would be a shame if Casey & Walker do not get some recognition this year. They have been among the NFL Leaders at their positions for a couple of years now. Walker is really the only threat on our offense so he is watched closely by opposing defenses. I think that should mean something as well.

 

I bet Mariota makes it.

As always, Casey deserves it FOR SURE... He's been deserving for 3 years actually. Forget Pro-Bowl, he should be All Pro. Even with a complete scheme change to 3-4, he's been just as dominant as ever. Forget stats, the dude is a MONSTER in both run and pass.

If Orakpo / Morgan want to make it, we'll need to make a SERIOUS push for the playoffs (i.e. wins) and they need more stats. Not sure I see that happening...

Walker and Marcus - same as above. Need a push and wins and more stats. Both are actually pretty 'popular', which counts as much as anything in the voting, but still. More wins and stats are needed for consideration.

 

Casey should. That's about it. If Morgan and/or Orakpo finish strong, they could make a push. Problem is when you're 2-6 you don't get a lot of love at the Pro-Bowl.

 

I'm not saying anyone will or won't make it to the pro bowl, cough cough. But, uh, walker, as much as I like him, is no more than a paperweight without Yoda.

 

2/6 yes, but top five defense may get a look or two.
