Hell no. Just look at the past 4 years FA signings and draft classes. And if you really want to be accurate look at the ones when he VP of player personnel.

I don't feel compelled to prove the obvious. Your blind b/c of the recent win. And it was a nice win but against a very bad defense. Let's enjoy it but not get carried away stating that we have the talent we need (or should) have on our roster since Webster has been in charge.

Not a bad idea but does not account for the FA's he missed and how the contracts he arranged affected our chances of landing other options during bad signing's dead weight years.

true. there obviously is a lot more that goes into it.

However, I doubt most people that say "FIRE WEBSTER!!" are doing anything more than looking at his FA/draft. They aren't digging that deep to see if who we signed was best available, how cap friendly was the contract, etc.

For example, 2012 is obviously his worst year according to my rating. But, maybe we should take into consideration that he was forced to go after PM that year, and lost out on many FAs because of it.

I don't need to make a list to know our drafting and recruitment has been ****. I just look at our win loss record of recent times to know it has been.

If you accept mediocrity we will stay with Webster and stay below .500. If we a bold enough to embrace change and aim high, the future will be different. It may get worse, it may get better. However staying the same, you can bank on being below .500

Taylor Thompson was a 5 or 6th round pick. Cant fault someone for a risk there.
Justin Hunter didn't pan out. I didn't like it either. Coming out of college, he looked like a dynamic playmaker. We needed one. Took a risk (A lot of people on this board says we need to do more of) and failed. Cant say Pitousia is a Guard. Is that were he probably plays, yes, but numerous execs and scouts say he can be a fine T. He was a 3rd round pick. Less than half make it to a second contract. If he plays well at G, it was a great pick. He wont be the first Oline player to changes positions. Warmack didn't make a lot of sense to me. I wanted Warford in the 2nd (UK fan here), but we had a Oline coach as a head coach and he wanted his player. I wonder how much input Munch had on that. Still, a decent G as a top 10 pick sucks. Though, that draft wasn't very strong anyway after our pick outside of Richardson going a few picks after us

See that's the problem here. You look just for starters and are ok with that. Justin Hunter wouldn't be a starter if it weren't for injuries. Hunter has been awful in a Titans uniform regardless of if he starts of is benched. You cannot provide any statistic to show otherwise. That was a wasted 2nd round pick on a guy who is only starting because of injury. You are telling me that's ok? Lol that just an insane way to think.

Sankey got "whiz'd"? I guess that's why he still doesn't play even after Whiz left. Sankey is mediocre and he has no confidence right now, not a good combo. Sankey has had plenty of opportunity and hasn't cashed in on it. That's on him. Should we compare him to all the RB's that got selected after him or are we still ok with the fact that Sankey was at one point a starter?

Lewan has a lot still to prove he has looked really bad at times this year. Still early though.

Kendall Wright is a decent WR but he has had one good season in his whole time here. Has he worthy of his first round selection? Maybe. He at least plays with heart and lays it all out on the line.

Maybe the issue here is that we are just ok with having starters and no game changers from a draft. That seems to be a common theme with your logic as long as they have started a game before its a good pick.

Let's not forget that Whisenhunt is now being credited for last years draft so MM is not one of his picks.

This will be the 3rd head coach now that Webster has had if they still can't get development out of their players then maybe its not the coaching. Ever think about it that way?

You cannot defend Webster's draft's they have been awful and the majority of those picks are only starting because of injuries. Like seriously you are trying to convince people that Justin Hunter was a good pick!!! That's mind boggling to me.

Late rounders over past 5 years: McCourty!, Stafford, Williamson, Andrews, Gallik and Riggs (early, but looks good), Verner, Mariani, Huff, Jones, Mettenberger, Schwenke and Klug have all been solid players for us.
That is a great hit rate for rounds 4-7 over the last 4-6 years. I would bet less than 10% get a second contract. As the top 3 rounds. I would rate a player has a successful pick if we would want to resign them if they were a current FA. Lets us last 3 drafts since that's when Webster took over.

Re-sign: Warmack, Lewam, Mariota, DGB, Poutasi
    Possible re-sign: BWW and Hunter
    Let go: Sankey,

    I'll take that every time.

Outside of the very few top franchises, show me a team that has dominated their last 3 drafts. Hit on every player in rounds 1-4.

I'm not blind, I'm just trying to make a point that the talent on this team is much better than some of the Webster haters make it out to be.

Those same haters also seem to point the finger more at Webster than Whiz, which dumbfounds me.

Do we have the most talent in the league? No
Do we have enough talent to win 10-12 games in this league? Yes

Was Whiz the major culprit behind the lack of development of our offensive players, especially young players like Sankey/Mett/Warmack/Lewan/Schwenke/Wright/Hunter/DGB/Poutasi? You're goddam right he was!

I don't see near the amount of hate for our Defensive youngsters drafted with the exception of Blidi for the Dalton incident. Some people will never see anything past that?

Again, that leads me directly to the coaching, Whiz.

The Titans could fire Webster and I wouldn't bat an eye. I am not defending him exclusively, I'm defending him against Whiz.

But maybe I'm also one of the only people on here that is defending our young offensive players, because I feel they've been unjustly judged based on Whiz incompetence and stubbornness.
