Tommy Smith 100% hired Whisenhunt.. Webster wanted Quinn.. I think it's clear that Smith was completely inept, so much that the Adams family really came together to get him out of there.. Amy wants anyone related to Tommy Smith gone..

I say it's 50/50 Webster stays on. Call me out, but I don't mind Webster hiring the next coach.. He would have hired Quinn, which would have been a good move.

Guaranteeing hus contract was his own downfall imo. He assumed he could do whatever he wanted and if no one liked it, he would still get paid.

The guy is a moron. Between the WR routes and not having one of our 2000 TEs helping the RT, he lost me at record pace. Once i went to the game and could see more, i couldnt stand him. No one can be that stupid. He said he would tailor the offense around Mariota and wouldn't even do what it took to protect him.

Whiz just cant adapt to players, he needs people to fit his system which is not a good way to have a system. Why you think hes failed the last 3 years? Bad System that cant adapt.

Of course Tommy made the hire but what makes you believe Webster wasn't on board?

Coaching Hire Helped by Quick Bonding Between Titans GM & Ken Whisenhunt

“Ruston and I have worked closely for quite some time in defining the characteristics that we were looking for in a head coach. Time and time again, we came back to Ken,” Smith said.

I just have a strong hunch Tommy wanted Whisenhunt really, really badly and he made the final call. Of course Ruston will say the right things.

Ruston wanted his old Seattle pal.

I think its a tad bit early to call Quinn a good move. In the past 2 weeks Atlanta almost (should have) lost to us and they followed that up by getting beat by the Bucs at home. I believe the week before us they lost to New Orleans (which doesnt seem that bad now) but almost (should have) lost to Washington the week before the Saints. I agree Quinn over Whiz but I will wait my full year to judge.

If I didn't know better, I would say the fans of this forum is trying to make a case for Ruston to stay. I ask why. He's been bad for the team and they're asking for "more please".
