I think the best way to go is find an offensive coordinator ready for the next challenge and see what they have.. Kyle Shanahan has the goods but supposedly he's an ass to be around... Im keeping my ears peeled to see if his name comes up later...

Nice article. I hadn't considered Shaw (from Stanford), but he'd be a name I could get behind. Hugh Jackson could work, but I much prefer Chip Kelly, regardless of what others here say. Mariota fits/knows his offense like the back of his hand, and would take longer to develop in anyone else's system. The sticking point for me would be defense. Would he try to keep Horton/Lebeau? If so, Kelly could hit the ground running, here.

Ten replacements for Ken Whisenhunt in Tennessee

Another team jumps into the frenzy with Detroit firing the GM. Pagano is good as gone and Caldwell is a lame duck. The dolphins are already looking so the good coaches that are available will have options.

The preseason of musical chairs started early this year, and I hope we just get a decent seat.

It's alright guys, we'll just wait until all the other teams fire their current coach and then hire all the available and we'll just hire Jim Caldwell once he gets fired.

I think Miami already found theirs in Campbell. They were playing like a playoff team before they ran into the wall that is the NE Patriots. If they bounce back fairly well, they'd be stupid to try and find another HC prospect.

I still like the prospect of trying to hire Art Briles, if guys like Chip Kelly, Shaw and Hugh Jackson aren't there.

Campbell isn't a HC, even he knows that... His lack of overall knowledge leaves a lot to be desired...

I don't know about that. He was looking like a really strong candidate to win the job, before the Patriots game. I think he gets it, cause Munch was in a similar situation....being handed the HC job without ever having any coordinator experience. It's why he hired assistants who had some HC'ing background, to help get him up to speed. One was the defensive assistant (can't remember the name ATM). The other was Palmer.
