Possible Coaches?

The last time this franchise had an interim coach he ended up staying around for over a decade. Mularky was interviewed for the job, along with whiz. Idt he's going anywhere to soon. The titans will ride with mularky in 2016, imo.

 

Only way I see that happening is if we completely turn around.

Mularkey has had his chances.

 

This organization just got burned hiring a coach whose three previous seasons before coming here, was 5-11, 8-8, 5-11 (18-30). You would think that would put a bad, bad taste in their mouth in choosing the next guy. Mularky is just like Whisenhunt, in that regard. Good record as an OC, but abysmal as a HC.

This is why I don't understand the decision to put him back in the saddle, just because he has HC'ing experience. If that experience is a failing one, why consider that a favorable asset? I'd rather see Horton get a crack at it for 9 games, instead.

This article on CBS Sports also agrees that making Mularkey the interim HC doesn't make much sense. As the OC, sure....HC? No sense at all.

Because they're not going to publically throw the gm under the bus, nor will they fire him mid-season

 

Mularky isn't going to be coach unless we make the playoffs

 

Just a gut feeling, but I think the only way Mularkey remains the coach is if we somehow manage to win a playoff game. Anything short of that and we still go through the process and guys like Hue Jackson and Adam Gase will ultimately win out over Mularkey.

 

Bide your time , he'll be gone if this season continues to be an embarrassment to the Owners which it has the "potential" to be.

 

Here's what I am afraid is going to happen...
Mularkey wins a few games for the remainder of the season and we see some improvement (can't get much worse....) and Amy gives him a long term contract.

 

I don't know, I think Underwood fired a shot at him yesterday.
