Once again another "I'm a smart guy explanation "for a common sense problem. When your qb is sacked seven times your protection plan was not effective.
I don't know if Lebeau would have take the job based off his opinion of whiz. However, what is evident is that Whiz is not a good head coach. And is " genius" playcalling has lead to a 3-20 record.

 

I think that is exactly why he was canned. He chose to stick to his guns despite getting his QB's injured. Whiz is recklessly stubborn. And has zero insight into his history of injuring QB's and rationalizes his abysmal W-L record is due to elements other than the quality of his "system".

There was no alternative to firing him despite what all his NFL good ole boy media buddies want to promote. He simply isn't fit to be a HC.

But firing him doesn't fix the real problem. The organization needs to invest HEAVILY to lure the best/brightest upcoming scouts. That's the only way that Webster saves his job. And I hope even that doesn't keep him around. He is responsible for several REALLY bad contracts and 2-3rd round wasted picks.

 

Yes. And I would have loved to hear what they were saying when the mic was off.

Mic on: "That dysfunctional organization is stupid for firing Whiz with only 5 games with HIS new QB".

Mic off: "Whiz is killing QB's again. He never learns......"
