Ugh I can see the Titans going after Pep Hamilton but I hope I'm wrong

David Shaw was always on my top list of wish lists - knows Andrew Luck well

I also like Gase as well - young mind, up and coming type

Wouldn't be to mad if they got McDaniels even though a lot seem to hate that - young offensive mind although can be crazy, seems like a loose canon and a risk if taken

And obvious top clear cut choice would be Sean Payton - although nothing in the Titans past has said they would go after someone huge like that - so it's merely a pipe dream at this point.

    Sum it up:

    1- Payton
    2- Shaw
    3- Gase
    4- McDaniel
5- some wild card who knows

Amy Adams knows ...gotta remember where they live ... (Texas) high powered offenses. Would maximize Mariotta.

Yes Art Briles is a no brainer with Mariota and Wright! But I went to Baylor so i could be biased.

I don't see how not hiring Art Briles means I would hire another Whiz type. I made lists of wants and do not wants, and they're pretty diverse. Some previous HCs, some guys with no HC experience, and even a college guy.

Art Briles is 60 years old, has never coached a second in the NFL, and finally has Baylor where they want to be. Why would he leave?

He started 7-4 with Jason Campbell at QB. Campbell went out with an injury and they brought in Carson Palmer (who had basically retired) to fill the position. The guy coached his butt off to finish 8-8.

As a Baylor fan I dont necessarily want him to leave, but i think there is a good chance he will. He has everything in place to be able to leave without hurting Baylor at all. His son is the OC and calls the plays. His son in law is a coach too. Baylor would keep on rolling probably (even if he takes his son with him).

If he does leave it would be to either to prove his system can make it in the pros or go to a bigger college program such as USC or Texas.

Regarding the NFL, he is a very competitive guy and Im not sure if he would be completely satisfied if he never took a shot at the NFL. The fact that he is 60 means the tock is clicking.

Having said all this its just a dream as far as Im concerned that he would end up being the Titans coach. Im not sure Amy would want him and Im not sure he would want to come here. HOWEVER having Marcus Mariota could be the carrot that brings him here. I think Marcus in the Briles system could be amazing.

The list you laid out is your opinion just like Briles,Patterson, Kelley is mine...your list is just made up so that the titans will possibly be looking for another qb and coach in about 1.5 yrs (my opinion ) at least there would be some creativity with the ones I named
