. @kbull53 tells us that not one member of the ownership group said hello to him over the course of #Titans Alumni Weekend.

    Via tweet from Midday180.

Somewhat old news, I can't help but feel a bit sorry for the former players. Something is seriously wrong with this team.

Say what you want about Bud, (I personally think he should have been in the HOF long, long ago for his role in keeping the old AFL afloat if nothing else), but at least he cared and wanted a winner. The current owners only see the franchise as a cash cow. Too bad the NFL doesn't actually force owners to attempt to build a winner.

What is wrong with this team is that our owners are not football people. They are lazy, entitled, fatazz, trust fund kids that have never had to EARN anything. They don't have any passion for this team. Quite different from Bud in that regard. Our spokesperson owner has no balls. Literally. Supporters should have heard from the owner(s) 4 weeks ago.

I am firmly convinced this thing does not get turned around under this ownership. There is NO way a passionate owner would let Webster stay as GM another day. He is irrefutably responsible for the O-line debacle. 15 top 5 picks won't turn it around. Look at Cleveland, Raiders and the Lions. It takes a GOOD owner to put the arrow up. The Titans have mired themselves in quicksand and it is going to take at LEAST 5-7 years to get it back right IF we get a new owner.

There is something in play here. I believe the rumblings of back room discussions regarding the sale of the team last year were legitimate. Otherwise, we'd have a permanent CEO rather an interim. There is NO way a passionate owner would prop up a retired former CEO as the answer to get things right.

My interest in this team has been challenged yearly for the past 7 or 8 years. And I've been a financially committed fan for 15, really since they moved to Nashville. I have griped a lot about the ownership, the GM's, the coaches, and the fan experience. I have seen the transition of the support dwindle to the pathetic state is now is. The fans of this team have been exploited by the owners. Even Bud to a degree neglected the product as his health diminished. And Bud did neglect to have a solid heir or transition plan in place prior to his death.

Whiz is not the answer as HC. He has a few good qualities. But he is blind to his own short-comings and lacks the innovative skills necessary to bring the players back in. Put a fork in this year's team. We are going to see injury excuses arise again- which is THE hallmark sign of a team whereby the players have checked out and there is a lack of depth.

I have been phasing out my financial support for this team for years. I used to own 8 PSL's. I'll own zero after this season. I'm not re-newing. I'll just pick up tix second hand. The product is so bad, I can't even get my business contacts to go to games with me any more. I can't even guilt them into going. And I can barely give them to employees. And it believe it or not, it is too much of a hassle trying to find somebody who I trust to represent me well in the seats and not have their behavior get me a reprimand letter.

Anyway- I'll finish out this season and pick one or two games to buy tix for when the Titans have a product worth seeing in person.

^ I sold my falcons tix for $1 below face. Sold 2/4 dolphins tix for above face. Know somebody that sold a single ticket to earlier games for above face. A single, so that's somewhat rare. I bet Carolina tix will go well. Probably screwed after that.

I would not blame bud for what happens after his death. I'm sure he believed he had a good plan in place. You can't predict what will happen or how people will react, snd once your dead you can't change anything.

Who owns the Patriots? How about the Steelers? Dallas? These owners are just as colorful as the teams or the players themselves. Whom owns the Titans? When was the last time they, she or she(s), was in our media spotlight. Ownership of this 'disgrace on turf' is more of a silent partner. Everything about ownership stinks of "this team is for sale" and a lot of people are not truthful about it. Three daughters and a temp GM. What is the plan and future of this team? Buds "customers" stopped going to his "just business" years ago and the 10 year re-building is over. What next?

Looks like we're going to have another round of zzz battles.....

And ftr, I don't "blame" ever, especially not a "dead guy" as you suggest. There is a difference between "responsibility" and "fault". Estate planning is a responsibility. Bud's responsibility extends only to his surviving family members, not the fan base. Bud doesn't "owe" the fanbase anything. And that is why we currently have disinterested ownership.

You did blame bud for neglecting to have a solid transition plan. But how do you know? Maybe he strongly suggested or even specifically directed the grandson to take over and the family didn't honor his wishes?

I'm also not sure I would label the family with the negative connotation of trust fund babies. Doesn't tommy run the family oil company, which is more profitable than the team? Don't they all have high business roles? And they are all 60+ so to give all of them zero credit in business is disingenuous. Besides, won't your kid be a trust fund baby one day? Would it still be true if that day is 30 years from now?

I'm a self made man like Bud. His kids weren't. I never said they weren't skilled.

They inherited their wealth. My kids are all scholarship that work. My personal history is irrelevant. Let's just agree to disagree rather than hijack this thread.

So you think up until 2 years ago buds kids were broke and destitute? We know that's not the case. You don't think they had an integral part of running the family oil business they were a part of for 30 years before buds passing?

Let's just clear this up now. You are just speculating wildly and negatively to demean the current ownership. In reality, for all we know, buds businesses aren't successful without the kids involvement.
