    I didn't like the trade either for Oakland - but there are a lot of stories about "do it now" ultimatums for Jackson between the new GM, ownership etc.
    It was a bold trade - but where they sat at the time - looking at the playoffs with no starting QB material on the roster. If they keep their 1 they get Kap/Locker/Dalton/Ponder - not great.
    As time goes on, trading for Palmer doesn't look so terrible looking back. The guy might just be QBing in the Super Bowl this year.

    Regardless, Hue knows how to coach an offense. He was fantastic in his first tenure in Cincy and is at it again now.

    I will give Sumlin this, the West has been pretty tough the past few years. Alabama and LSU are always at the top, Auburn had 2013, and Freeze at Ole Miss and Prescott at MSU have been pretty big the last couple of years as well. If Sumlin couldn't win with Manziel and an amazing OL and Mike Evans, then I'm not sure how he's going to win now.
