What has Kendall Wright done to be considered a successful first round pick? He has had one good season. Lots of slips and lots of drops.

Lewan has proven nothing. Zach Brown has proven nothing. Schwenke is a terrible center. Williamson has been ok. Jones has done nothing. Huff and stafford have done nothing. Galik has played one game lolol how can be considered successful???

Mariota is the only one worth talking about.

Here's the thing- there 's something about Whisenhunt's scheme that makes it hard on the free agents Webster brought in. Levitri and Oher are thriving in other successful systems, yet both looked bad here. It's possible the picks are fine but the coaching may be lousy. As for Giffin, well yesterday the defense looked pretty good without him. We won't know how good/bad Sankey is until he plays for someone else. Yesterday he had no carries, not even as a change up. Hunter should have had the long ball- he 's a bust. Yet Mett under threw him on the 4th and 3 call. Whether that was Whizz's call of Mett's it really doesn't matter except Hunter shouldn't have been an option.
The whole thing is an ill-planned dumpster fire. Ownership, Management and Coaching all to blame for a culture that works very hard yet seems to be best at coming up just short enough to make the fan base apathetic. In truth, Webster is ultimately responsible and should be shown the door first, perhaps now. Let that move serve notice to Whisenhunt and the players, then after the season let the chips fall. It won't happen, but it is overdue.

When Whisenhunt was hired Tommy Smith gave Webster full power in making the hire. Webster even talked about hiring "his guy" the whole time. This one is on Webster 100%

Some of it is bad luck. Every GM has it.

But you have to look at the big picture, IMO. Webster has really struggled to have early draft picks be the steady contributors any quality NFL has to have.

Since he's taken over, only Lewan and Wright have been impact players and neither are what I would put in the difference-maker category. Not yet, anyway.

As for free agents, he's been horrible outside of keeping Casey and Morgan and bringing in Walker.

    Wimbley
    Hutchinson
    Greene
    Levitre
    Wilson
    Oher
    Phillips
    Douglas
    Bell

For every Walker, you have five guys who were mediocre to just bad and no longer with the team.

And we don't know what influence he had in decisions made prior to being named the GM in 2012.

Webster also made the Whiz hire. He's hitched his horse to that wagon so needs to be held accountable.

The Titans ownership must get the GM/President in place so replacing Webster can begin. If it doesn't happen until after the season, expect W&W to be around another season.
