Fire Whiz (new head coach thread)

Instead it's going to take our "interim" CEO/President 3 years to make a damn decision.. just watch.

 

It's honestly an embarrassment. I would love the other owners to get involved and light a fire under their ass.

 

I know everyone wants Whiz gone now but we need to face it that he is going to be the first coach to go 4-32 his first 2 years and not get fired. To be honest the only way to keep Lebeau is to keep Whiz so I'm all in with upgrading the O-line this year and giving him one more year.

 

Money is going to run everything. The stadium is getting bashed for bad service and amenities, at nearly every event that they hold there. The team suck and fan attendence will continue to drop. San Diego and St Louis are better markets than Nashville and they may both be looking for teams soon.

I would hate for the Titans to leave. Due to my work schedule, I'm only able to go to one game a year, but I support all I can. Even though it's getting harder to keep my son from switching teams. I don't know what the answer is. I don't live in Nashville so I don't get to hear all the talk surrounding the team. But I do know it needs something to create a small spark. I like the Horton as interim coach for the rest if the year.

 

So we do win one more game this year?

 

I'd love Horton to take over, in fact I was mentioning him as a HC candidate (as many did) back before we hired Whiz.

I support the Titans in TN, I don't think anybody wants them to leave. Would be lovely to have Fred Smith buy the Titans. He's the FedEx CEO, lives in Memphis, is worth $4 billion, and owns like 10% of the Redskins.

However, I think Mariota is that "small spark" you're talking about. We just need to give it a couple years to build a team around him.

This is very bad news for our team. According to PK, Underwood has said he WILL NOT even START a search for the new CEO until after this season.

This means that we will be stuck with the same ole sorry ass GM & HC; or left with the scraps other teams did not want. By the time the new CEO is FINALLY hired AFTER the season; he will be busy evaluating the team. There is no way he can evaluate the team, conduct a GM search, hire a GM, work with that GM to hire a HC; and learn his new job.

The Short story is we will be stuck with Webster & Whiz for at least another year. I absolutely HATE the idea of that. It drives me crazy that we are suffering through a season that should be going in a much different direction. PLUS we can look forward to more of the same next year!!

 

If that happens we will not hear about it until after the fact.

And it has happened before, the league made Bud hire Jeff Diamond when he moved the team to Nashville.

 

How would St louis after losing 2 teams already be a better market than Nashville? That is total bullcrap. St louis has always been a baseball town and always will be. Nashville has a better location and no baseball team competing for attention.

 

How often has a team with a top 10 defense and a QB with a passing rating above 90 been 1-4? That takes some serious f*cked up coaching to do that.
