Fire Whiz (new head coach thread)

Ken Whisenhunts has got to go. Now. If I'm part of the dysfunctional Adams Family Inc. owner group, I'm canning him tomorrow morning at 8am. Let old man Labeau have a shot as head coach for once in his life. Don't care if he's 78, I'm sure he could still run things the rest of the season.

Reasons Whiz has to go?

- Playcalling is horrible. The end of the Colts game. EVERYONE and his brother in the stadium knew that when Klug comes in, it's a jumbo set run. Doing the same play to get two points? You knew that it wasn't going to work. Last week with Buffalo. You got 1:40 on the clock and 2 TO and you throw it deep when all you needed was 40 yards for a field goal? They did that same crappy play today and gave up an INT>

- We have no run game. Using 4 different players at RB isn't smart. NE gets away with it because they're NE and they know what they're doing. Andrews seems the best of the bunch, why not give him a whole game's worth of carries? This makes me pine for the days of Lendale White.

- Why keep 5 tight ends if you almost never use them? What's that you say? They're for protecting the QB? If so, they should all be let go because they're terrible at it. Cut at least one loose and pick up a WR somewhere.

- The defense is close, but not too close. Brown wants to go elsewhere? I say trade him for a pick and use it on someone who wants to play. Titans need a lockdown, mean as hell cornerback and defensive tackle (Casey can only do so much).

- Mariota gets semi-hurt (who knows the truth anymore), and Whiz keeps him in the game. Why? You already lost your center for the season a few plays earlier. Why risk your franchise rookie QB? I admire Marcus's plight, but Whiz needed to tell him to sit the rest of the game out and not risk further injury and let Mett try and change it up some. But no. Whiz wants to let his 22 year old rookie QB tell him he's ok. It was almost like a flashback to the VY/Fisher incident in 09 when VY hurt his thumb and demanded to play except Fisher had better sense and made him sit.


Ken, you're a glorified offensive coordinator and not HC material. Stop ruining the Titans.

 

Another thing that grinds my gears. Whiz is the play caller so this is directly related to him. With both Poutasi and Meredith struggling, why isn't there a TE glued to the right tackle the entire game?

 

Art Briles or Gary Patterson. .new NFL Blood would maximize this current roster with wins

 

i vote Cobb and Andrews (Powerbacks) then Sankey and Fluellen (Speed and power) Mc Cluster needs to be returning

Why in the world would you want to bring in a college coach when they have no track record of continued success since Jimmy Johnson?

 

Chip Kelly better bolt back to college if USC comes calling.

 

It certainly wouldn't be optimal going with a college coach, however at this point I'd talk about anything. Right now we are looking at back to back 2-14 seasons. We are going to get slaughtered in free agency. There is no enthusiasm on this team, none at all. Mariota is going to get butchered. The future is just not looking bright. But I'll still watch and cheer regardless.
