This team is not making it to the playoffs. I do agree, it would be great. However we are 1-3 against bad teams. I dont see us making the playoffs.

 

I would like to expand your point a little.

All we can hope for is 8MM improves....and.......starts calling better plays in the huddle in SPITE of wizzen****.

Ya ya, I know it won't happen, but we can hope.

I usually never would say this...but I don't see a w here.

 

You know, in my franchise mode in NFL2K1 (the only football game I play), the Titans are currently on a 30 year win streak. Your comment reminded me of something I sometimes contemplate when playing NFL2K1:

What would the league do if a team really went on a decade+ long win streak? I mean, it likely would never happen (well, if you buy in to multiverse theory then it currently is happening in infinitely many parallel universes), but if a team did go on a 500 game winning streak (which would translate to 26 seasons and six games into the 27th), what would the NFL do?

 

We were 2-14 last year ... that's bad, pretty real bad.

But, when we decided to NOT fire Whiz or Webster after that season, and instead allow them to go out and pickup a potential franchise QB with the #2 overall pick, you have to allow them a chance to turn things around ... that requires some patience. You MUST give them more than 4 or 5 games.

I mean, what did you honestly expect from a 2-14 team with a rookie QB? Did you expect to be 4-0 right now? Did you not expect there to be road bumps and a learning curve? Of course we aren't going to be world beaters this year, but what we need to see is #1 - improvement, and #2 development of the QB. If we see progress in those categories, then the wins will start to come.

I for one have already seen improvement in this team, and MM has looked far ahead of where most 'experts' say he should be ... so IMO the arrow seems to be pointing in the right direction for this team. Now all we need to do is have a little patience, and see if some of the pieces start to fall into place by the end of this season.

Trust me, if we end up with another 2-14 year, and look as bad as we did last year, then I will be right there with everyone else calling for Whiz's head. But, I have watched this game long enough and know enough to know that it won't happen over night. And that 1 month of football is really nothing.

So lets all just be patient and watch how this year unfolds before we start calling for heads to roll. Rather than start these 'what if' scenarios asking for Whiz to be fired before he even has had a chance to do said thing that you think should get him fired.
