Which Antenna is it Jeff? I got a terk indoor a few years ago and couldn't get anything in downstairs where I wanted to use it.

This is the one I'm about to order unless Comcast throws a crazy good deal at me:

This would go up in the attic. I've not had any luck with smaller, indoor antennas.

I see dishes all over our neighborhood but assume an outdoor antenna is against the rules.

I wonder if these companies are going to just raise the prices of their internet services astronomically to offset the losses from people doing exactly what you mention.

ESPN poised for big job cuts - Oct. 20, 2015

ESPN laying off over 4% of their employees because of projected cord cutting.

This is what happens when you give the NFL, NBA, and college football the amount of funny money they were throwing around.

Well, Comcast finally convinced me to stay one more year by giving me X1 boxes, free HBO and cutting by bill by $50 for the next 12 months.

You really have to threaten to bail on them before they'll do anything for you. When this year ends, they'll jack me back way up and I'll have to threaten to leave again to get whatever promotion they're giving new customers.

I just need to remember to contact them next September and begin my threats.

If they are willing to do all of that, then they are able to make profits on cheaper services.

Cable companies are digging their own graves.

This is basically what I do. I have an antenna that can pickup all the local channels like ABC, NBC, CBS, whatever... which all come in great. Then use SlingTV through my X-Box One and it provides pretty much everything I need.

Then my buddy just switched to DirectTV and got a free year of Sunday Ticket, which hooked me up with all the Titan games. We also split NBA league pass, so I can get the Bulls games down in SC.

Plus, a family Netflix acct (which my parents pay for, score). My roommate has Hulu on his PS4 (in the living room).

So basically I spend like $40/mo and have everything I need.

Make sure your bill is actually $50 less than normal...they're notorious for that.
