Yeah i usually catch matinees in week 2 or 3. But even then you can get some real assholes in the theater with you.

This current guy makes Gulager look like a pretty regular dude.
I swear when they chose him it was Gulager all over again.

Well you obviously miss the point about how remakes and sequels squeeze out opportunities to make real, original content that will be theatrically released.
But hey if you wanna accept it and even embrace it that's your call.
Some people think McDonalds is good food. Whatever.

I have less of a problem with sequels, but acknowledge that it's usually just a method to squeeze every drop of juice out of something that was once new and fresh.
Remakes - there are a few of them done right (The Thing, The Fly) and then there are just hundreds and hundreds of them done so poorly, so compromised and so specifically sold-out that it just hurts the heart when you see kids talking about a film then your realize they are on about the sh*tty remake and not the classic. Don't be one of those kids..

    Because movies make you stupid??

I can't stand movie snobs man. It's simple lol don't want to see it don't go. That's almost as simple as 1+1=2

and no I did not miss the point about sequals somehow stopping big studios from putting out "original" content. I just think it's a dumb theory.

@CRUDS is just mad they ruined his childhood ideal Frankenstein.

That's what you took from that?

Total movie buff - sorry you can't stand me.
I typically appreciate when someone is passionate about something but whatever - we're members of a group here who pull our hair out every Sunday because of guys running around on turf.

Don't mistake this for a "theory"...
    This is fact.

Feast is a cheeser - that could have been a cult classic.
And if I recall correctly, Gulager was very insistent on the DP that was used - which turned out upon viewing the final film to be a mistake.
Everything is so tightly framed that it becomes uncomfortable to watch - and they never really pull back. Not sure if that was an artifact of working on such a tiny set or what - but I think I recall Gulager instructing that DP to stay tight.
Raimi was able to film The Evil Dead inside a cabin the size of a bathroom and pull back for plenty of breathing space which makes me wonder if there wasn't some other issue going on with Feast.
Never saw any of the sequels..

    That guy likes depraved stuff...

Creature mouth-rapes a woman in first...
Creature violates a cat in second...
Creature rapes a guy in third... through a long pipe...
