    Whiz actually is getting the NFL to look at this. Why does it matter? They scored off of it to make matters worse. Is this just for Mariota's stats?

    would he? he's running the ball into the ground every first quarter and for what? to help mariota by putting us behind early?

    Of course it's technically an INT, but it's irrelevant. It's proof that the "passer rating" stat is very flawed. QB can make a pinpoint pass, Receiver can drop it, or bounce it into a defender's hands, and the QB is docked for it.

    If there were some good advanced stats on ball placement, it would be a more accurate assessment of a QB's play.

    A QB can lob up a crap pass, the WR can bail him out.. it's a plus for the QB..
    or a QB can throw a perfect pass, and the WR screws up, it's a minus.

    QBR is as much of the receiving corps' rating as it is QB's.

    That's something else entirely. It's his obsession with the outdated power run. If you really want to run it you need a qb with a big arm that can make teams pay on play action.
