The Titans are 10th in total offense and 5th in points per game with no running game to speak of. How is Mariota struggling again?

With passes over 20 yards but that can be fixed with an improved running game.

The only real knock Ive seen is when he threw that INT when we were within 7 points at the end of the game, thats just a terrible time to turn the ball over, but thats like literally all thats wrong with him up this point...

Those fumbles week-2 were odd, but he's cleaned that up since then

He's had a couple of close calls in weeks 1 and 3 as well. Whistle blew when he was wrapped up in Tampa because of forward progress. In week three there was the close call when Indy challenged. The one against Indy was really close.

Just hold on to the damn ball.

I watched a stat last night on MNF about how many completions from Rodgers were five yards or less. He was hitting WRs in stride and ended the game with a 9.5 average.

I wouldn't be shocked if half of his 333 passing yards were YAC.

Having said that, Rodgers can and does sometimes go deep. He mainly burned the Chiefs last night for jumping offsides with them. Mariota has a long way to go in that department but he also doesn't have the same tools Rodgers has.

    That was an amazing performance.

He's actually 8th in "air yards" and air yards per attempt. 56% of his yards are coming through the air, with 44% YAC.

It's over 30 yards where he drops off.

Not sure why not throwing over 20 yards on a pass attempt is a big deal. Yea, it spreads the defense out more and keeps the DB's honest with the deep ball. I don't think it's really a big deal.

This game is about moving the chains and scoring TD's. We're in the world where everyone wants to see hail marry plays completed and a QB throwing 500+ yards, 5+TD's every game.

As I mentioned in another thread, our offense has made every attempt to get back in a ball game and win. Our defense on the other hand has let us start in the hole to play from behind and gives up big plays.
