Saw this today.

Kingsbury took shots at Arkansas' Bielema after Texas Tech's win on Saturday. Bielema had choice words of his own today: "As a coach who has been in it for 10 years, I know better than to worry about somebody that's been around for a couple and they're .500. So we'll just go forward."

Brett knows from experience not to worry about someone else's program.

I think Bama fans can come to terms with the fact that Kirby Smart is only an average DC. He has the best recruiting class in the country and perhaps he is good at recruiting but not good at preparing his defense against a good opponent. They played poorly against Ohio state and they were poor against Oklahoma in the sugar bowl the year before.

Too many mistakes in judgement to say this is a well coached defense. Kenny Jackson tackling low near the goaline, something you just can't do the guy falls over you for a score and Geno Smith out of control misses a tackle that gives up a 35 yard play. The inability of linebackers to stop wide plays all day.

Also the decision to start Cooper Bateman at QB was retarded. All Bateman did in the first 2 games was complete 5 yard passes. Dink and dunk. Kiffin outsmarted himself on that one.

 

I guess it's a good thing they are rebuilding, then.

Especially the bit about starting Bateman. Bateman is just too raw right now. Coker sucks, for sure (not much of an arm, not much between his ears), but giving Bateman his first career start in a hyped up late game vs. Ole Miss was just nuts.

Of course, Bama would have won had they been able to hang on to the ball. But alas.

I really wish Auburn had tagged Smart as their HC instead of Malzahn. Would have made life for Bama so much easier.
