Its not hard to learn what your players can do, I think Whiz chose to suck

 

He did it well.

 

they literally had months to review film and a whole offseason/TC to evaluate. They decided Leon Washington was an offensive weapon ...

I question their judgement, and for good reason

 

I didn't see Mariota in college so I don't get why the media keeps saying his a run first QB they act like that's his only weapon I don't get it.

 

I also keep hearing he can't read defenses.... but he seems to have read them through preseason to now pretty well.

 

Because every rookie for some reason needs a knock on them. If you're an athletic qb, you must obviously not be a great passer.

Everyone in the media also was saying Winston was the clear superior talent, but had off field issues but still should be number 1.

Kinda hard justify that if you were to also say the other guy is more poised, extremely accurate, learns fast, can read/dissect a defense, has world class athleticism, and on top of that probably the most humble and grounded athlete in the last decade.

They just really needed to find a reason (a ****** made up one at that) to justify why Winston was a better prospect.

 

You may think thats enough time to evaluate and teach but its not when your trying to get everything together for the first year, we was doomed to start.

 

Congrats to Mariota and all of us Titans fans! We've been stuck in football pergetory for way too long and are deserving of any positives that are coming our way. Rejoice, the future looks bright!
