Dunno if he really qualifies as random given he was a pretty well respected left tackle, but Brad Hopkins was one of my favorite players. The definition of consistent at LT.

We've been really lucky with the LT position. From Hopkins to Roos and now Lewan.

    Random Names:

Lynn Dickey, the quarterback we drafted at the same time as Pastorini so we traded him to Green Bay.

Fred Willis, our best running back before Campbell.

Jimmy Giles, the all pro tight end we traded to Tampa to draft Campbell.

Kenny Houston, the hall of fame safety we stupidly traded to Washington.

Rob Carpenter, the overachieving running back who went into the San Diego playoff game on crutches and played the entire game anyway helping us win.

Alonzo Highsmith the 1st rd rb out of Miami who was awesome until he blew out his knee.

Ladd Herzog the crazy GM who finally got fired for his crazy antics but hes the one who pulled off signing Warren Moon.

John Matuszack drafted 1st overall in and later traded to Oakland. Died early death from drugs.

Toby Smith, brother of Bubba Smith.

Brent Pease, Moons backup before Cody. They were the "Warren Pease" combo.

Alan Pinckett, RB out of ND who was our 3rd down specialist.

These 2 sites seem to indicate Steinkuhler was hurt after the 10 games of the 1st season in 1984 and then missed the entire next season in 1985.

Well, not entirely sure what his off the field stuff has to do with his on the field play, and I'm also pretty sure they stayed married/are still married so whatever the incident was(I forget what it was reported to be, I do remember it being Hopkins doing something stupid/harmful), they've apparently worked to get over it, so not sure why I should be hung up on it.

Keith cash sounds right. Only game worse than that to take was the two quarters in Buffalo.

False start Fred Miller. Not sure how many of those he had, but a clock would go off in my head saying it was time for him to get a penalty if too much time went by.

Who remembers Marshall Faulk's first game as a rookie against us? Yikes.
